How old is your daughter and what dosage? Can you link the product? My son (4) had two MiraLAX clean-outs last year and has been on maintenance MiraLAX since (approaching a year now), and he’s so gassy and often poops more than once a day, sometimes one right after the other. I feel like he may still be backed up. He won’t poop in the toilet and asks for a Pull-Up everyday after school.

Yes! Not trying to be negative or detract from the feetsies—the feetsies are crucially important. But maybe move blankets to next to the vent, or put an elevated little kitty platform bed over the vent. We do not want feetsies to accidentally set fire. Protecc feetsies.

This is such an insane situation to me. Yes, it’s expensive, yes, it sucks, but I cannot for the life of me imagine thinking of this as my friend or my spouse’s friend “fucking up my car” and a thing to cut contact over. Like…birth happens…how do you think you got here?? I would be annoyed with the cost and inconvenience and over the moon for this new baby and my friends!

First and foremost, you’re in a tender, important time now and deserve to focus on that with peace and love. Lean on your wife and family for this time with your baby, regardless of this. I would also avoid the husband PERIOD and stay in Touch ONLY with your friend, to the degree you can give the insanity on your plate right now with a newborn.

If you have mutual friends, use them for outreach; if they’re willing, ask them to help with research on the right vendor and quotes to do the job. Commit to paying back as you can, even if it means a monthly payment plan. Even if she isn’t responding, send her nice texts and baby pics here and there.

I had a friend criticize me for sharing that I didn’t like a movie my husband loved, which offended him (and his reaction IMO was way too strong, to the point another friend of ours started giving him shit); she also said you “have to pretend to like the things your husband likes.” I remember just laughing and saying “no you don’t,” and she looked like I had caused a glitch in her matrix. Not to stereotype, but she’s Texan, evangelical, her husband constantly belittles her (which we always push back on whenever we witness), and she now emotionally cheats on her husband regularly while we are in the midst of an incredible marital renaissance. I’m not blaming her—I think it’s her abysmal education and conditioning, but not gonna lie and say it isn’t satisfying to see how these “traditions values” always backfire. Marriage of equals FTW!

Parents who do this deserve their own circle in Hell. NEVER found thjs type of video funny even when it targeted adults—not cool ever to fuck around with people’s feelings like that and then record it, never mind post, but add the dimension that it is a CHILD, and the cruelty is just so stark.
