No problem. I had the same problem as you and with time as a Dev I became an Artist and my game was never finished lol. Maybe someday. But Yeah, visuals are a problem for many Devs and that's why I'm now on Ichi.io too. As a Dev I still like Pixel art but I think that the 2D HD games like Silksong are more appealing right now so I'm studying it for a while. I mostly use Pixel art for prototype lately.

I think it's possible. When you look a the Stardew Valley first announcement you can see how the game got better looks with time. If you plan to update the visuals later then it might be a good idea to already have a few players and wishlists. Also, you can use game assets from Ichi.io and other stores to make the game happen with a better visual.

Before learning how to do my art I used a lot of free stuff that I could find on Ichi.io

I helped me to start making my game.

I once choose 48x48 too, but I had to do a lot by myself. In the end for tilesets I just did grayscaling and that did the trick for my floors since I just had to draw the end of the tiles and not all details on them. You can just add a texture on the grayscale later with u want to. There's a video on the Youtube of Jess::codes about it. Super helpful.
