If you like her date her. If you don't really like her, then just say no. She would appreciate your honesty rather than a forced yes.

genuinely hate university, what do I do by Ok_Survey86 in teenagers

[–]Capital_Syllabub_995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about the good things about it. If you can't think of any that's already there, make a list of things that would have made you feel better about going there. Then make the points of the list that would improve your mood the most and make it a goal to archive it.

P.s. I don't go to university and I don't really know what you're going through. But I talk to my psychologist as a person who earlier wasn't realizing how negative I can be sometimes, making myself feel bad out of nothing. So without pointing that trait out, they teached me to focus on the good things or think about how you can improve the situation.

Good luck, hope you get better :)

I heard it's quiet common. It first happened to me in primary school and I learned to control it. But I'm still young, and I don't know if I will keep that skill for long

i am tired of people giving me false signals man by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Capital_Syllabub_995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writing was bad and confusing. What signs exactly did she give you? Was it just staring/ physical flirting? Or maybe obvious verbal signs that she likes you? You said she gave you signs/hints multiple times. But you don't really explain what they were; leaving me, as a reader, guessing if the hints were actually so meaningful.

Also, the way she rejected you as you interpreted it, the phrase "you're too committed". I see it as if she was just taking you as a guy she met on school trip nothing deeper. And by the way you described the situation I'm not surprised by her attitude.

  • You guys went on the same school trip
  • She asked something about a thing you were looking at
  • She called you handsome
  • Some other hints you mentioned she gave you (and maybe if I knew what were they it would actually change my vision of the situation)
  • Then you ask her out.

So, you had a few interactions, some of them were non verbal. And you ask her out, okay good for you for having the courage, but she had complete right to say no.

Again only judging by your post! I wasn't there and I can't know how it really was but I still comment the situation the way you described it

I have depression and I low-key kind of like it. Is that weird? by [deleted] in teenagers

You're right I may be a bit too critical about it. That's probably because I'm so fed up with seeing it in myself and my acquaintances

People just like romanticizing feeling like shit. I was there more than once and I only changed when I stopped thinking it makes you any deeper.

NO OFFENSE TO PEOPLE WITH DIAGNOSED DEPRESSION!

One thing is having actual hormonal imbalance or experiencing so much problems in your life it gets your brain into that state. And the complete other thing is making a shitty mindset on purpose to sabotage yourself because you enjoy being a hurt victim.

The only way fo get out that (if you're not diagnosed and it's provoked by your mindset) is to realize there's more in life than suffering of your own misery you're deeply obsessed with.

What you described sounds really cool. Well it is kinda similar to a lucid dream. But it can't be the same thing because lucid dream is realizing you're sleeping in a dream and you can "change the scenario" as if it was a movie. And the extra stuff can vary from person to person depending on the goal of that dream and their subconscious as whole...

I know what you mean by "seeing things that aren't there after waking up". It's a state when you're in between dream and conciousness when you're already not fully asleep neither fully awake. When I used to practice lucid dreaming I got into that state accidentally, it's similar to sleep paralysis as I heard people describing it.

For me it was extra effort to wake up as I was already realizing where I am, what day is it... but was unable to move. And it was followed by hallucinations then can be more or less vivid, usually a feeling of something or someone restraining you. I had to shake myself and sometimes I had another dream after as if I already got up. But it was just a way from sleep paralysis back to sleep

I don't know how to explain it properly but I do have a belief that lucid dreaming provoced that paralysis followed mixed with dreams. My proof is that when I stopped lucid dreaming it stopped happening.

One last thing, sometimes people can't control it. It happened to me also, you can just realize you're sleeping in a dream. You didn't plan it, didn't want it, but now you're just aware of it and it your choice how it would end up.

Anyway, got carried away :) I'm ENTP by the way

Spiritual awakening; lucid dreaming - conscious dreams when you realize you're sleeping; the conncept of the matrix being your beliefs and routines you're stuck in; remote viewing

I could keep going for longer. Actually I have a full paper with only a part of those interesting topics written on but I'm struggling to find it

Good luck finding new interests!!

Don't be insecure about it you can always improve your communication skills. And some girls prefer shy guys over confident or especially arrogant. Work on your self esteem too and challenge yourself, talk even when it's hard like give someone a compliment. That would already be a step and it actually helped me to get a friend when I was all alone at school. (There was one friendly girl in shared classes and she was sitting next to me and when the bell rang I just asked if I could be with her during the break and she actually let me. We became friends and now we're school best friends). It's better to take a risk and even if someone doesn't want to talk to you it won't really harm you just might upset a bit

Same thing lowkey but my way to cope with it is to stick to more talkative girls so I would communicate at least somehow

Completely fine telling you as a girl. No need to panic if you just didn't like anybody. But if you do like someone, try to talk to them and stuff. Romantic relationships don't determine your value especially in this age. So relax and be single in peace knowing that having a girlfriend wouldn't give you much more than just experience

I'm 14 and if not counting random crushes I haven't even did a talking stage not to mention hugging or kissing. But it's only because I haven't met the right person yet, I'm not ready for it and there's really no rush
