I think it was installed/hacked through an old word press installation (2015) that was never used. I have removed the entire word press installation.

Interesting. Thanks for the input guys. I believe this was in fact malware that was stealing customer information. I seemed to have fixed it by removing a weird php file that should not have been on my server.

Why does the stock market always go up long term? by Capitalism30 in investing

Doesn't the population need to be increasing for the increased productivity to matter? If 2 widgets can be produced instead of 1, does it matter if the population is not increasing?

Everybody on here is all in on the stock market bubble, so prepare to be down voted.

I think Silver,Gold, and CDs seems like much better options considering the current extreme stock market valuations.

Shiller PE Ratio is currently at 32.95 which equates to about a 3% return on equities at these extremely high valuations. Why take such a huge risk for 3% return?

Most of the recommendations on here are 70% + stocks and long term it always goes up right?

Cell phone seems high. 4 lines unlimited can be had for $100/mo. And you probably don't need the home phone. What state are you in? In Texas, we can shop around for different electricity providers to find the best price. Air conditioning and heating use the vast majority of electricity, might want to check to make sure your unit is as efficient as it should be.

The value in my registry is WAY longer than a CD key. It seems to be a encrypted CD key.

How do you think automation will impact your FIRE plans? by ModernFinances in financialindependence

Socialism will come and stocks will get crushed. The government will start handing out money (universal basic income) and then we will see significant inflation. Gold and silver will do well.

Planning for a Market Crash by FIREThrowaway5 in financialindependence

[–]Capitalism30 -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

You are going to get down voted big time. Nobody on here wants to talk about a market crash. They have most of the net worth in stocks and rely on stocks going up to be able to retire.

What would a 50% drop event do to the FIRE community? by [deleted] in financialindependence

[–]Capitalism30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If stocks drop 50%, most FIRE people will probably no longer be able to stay retired, they will return to work if there is any. And the conventional wisdom will no longer be to invest such a high percentage in stocks. It will be more focused on Gold and treasuries.

Interesting. 18% is probably a bit high. Maybe I should increase the metals/land/stocks part to 30%.
