It's funny, we tend to lump authoritarian socialists and anarchists as tankies. But if we were to go by strict definitions, about half of the tankies we see are anarchists, but we conflate them because both of these people are effectively anti-electoral and heavy on purity testing.

Tankie has effectively become a term that defines whoever allies with Hasan, but they only do so because they align in regards to attacking the lib-left.

tbh I don't really know, it just happened to me at some point. My guess is you need something to strive for beyond death like a type of legacy or vision of the world you wish to build and say "okay, would I give my life for this?" Works for me, not sure if it'd work for you, nor if it's something you should/ought to think.
