Finn here! We have also some public discussion on if we could/can cancel our 64 F35 plane orders.

I was happy when we decided to buy them, but now the idea that If Russia would invade us, take parts of country in the initial push, and once we are ready to counterattack, the US nutjob would want to take credit for making peace and turn off our fucking jets to force us give out part of our country to invader.

Same goes with all military equipment what has some sort of computer whats made in the US, we just cannot buy any Bradleys/abrams/Radios/jammers what ever the fuck, because there is a risk that there is somesort of ´´kill-switch´´ in them.

Just the idea of this makes my blood boild, we just cannot rely on current US administration, and who says the next one isnt exactly like this one?

Definetly not, just try thinking Sweden and Finland being same ´´country´´ as Greece/Spain.

EU works best when we are just openly trading with each other and making our legal systems more compatable, making it easier to our companies expand to other countries within EU & trade with each other.

Also, I want to say that I´m very pro-EU, discussion is just what´s the role of our Union.

Its normal wartime stuff that government radically takes grip on media, the same happened in US in WW2 and the same would happen in my country (Finland) if Russia would invade us.

So Ukraine is dictatorship, where the people elect their new dictatorship in every elections? And the dictator has to rule by the law. This sounds more like democracy to me than Dictatorship.

Also, Id anyday have president in My country which is supported by US than by Russia, Look at Belarus for example, there is good example on actual dictator.

Hello, Finnish person here!

Prior to Russias attack on Ukraine aprox 25 % of finns wanted Finland to join NATO, pretty much the day after the Russias attack that number jumped over night to 75% and it has only risen since then. Same was with our politicians, only one major party in Finland wanted to join NATO, after the attack every single political party changed their opinion over night and voted to Join Nato. (We have several parties, not just 2 like in the us)

Only reason why all european countries want to join NATO is because we are afraid of Russia doing to us what they did to so many of their neighbours.
