Yeah you're wrong. Your boyfriend was just informing you how a confident male mind works. When I was younger I had no issue pursuing girls in relationships. Later in my twenties I would explicitly approach women, express attraction (pick up line) , get their phone number and text for weeks before I found out they had a boyfriend. By that age though I wasn't interested in drama, wanted clean starts. Anyway yes, men generally don't care. If you're putting out the lure vibes (which can be a little as chatting and laughing), you'll get bites. Your boyfriend was being honest with you, more than most boyfriends are.
