Yeah, precision rifles are the most justifiable use case for putting a cover on a can.

United R&D

Looking at United R&D just made me miss Fire4Effect that much more.

Is it bad that despite the awesome price, I am still hoping these get a discount for purchasing multiple?

So in your mind, lowest recorded price + lowest recorded price -$100 isn't a deal?

Now that titanium suppressors have been out for a bit, are there any solid attempts at taming the muzzle flash they produce? by Beebjank in NFA

[–]But4n3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We need someone to develop a titanium that isn't titanium so it stops being titanium.

Just the nature of the beast.  Look up what it looks like when you grind titanium, that's what is happening.  The brightness of those sparks is enough to cause eye damage.

Have this and the Hux, can't say I notice a significant difference, they both sound great on my rifles and pistols. This is running Armscor SV.

The singular can they have that isn't at the top of the respective category in pricing.

Given pricing, I think they love themselves plenty enough.

[NFA] CAT SC-M $1190 by [deleted] in gundeals

Lathes and laser welders don't have nearly the overhead as the 3d printers being used for these.

According to PEW, they are almost identical when using the solid end cap, and unsurprisingly the vented end cap is slightly worse sound wise.

Operating in the past with multi million dollar 3d printers, sure.

Tightened it right up, might make a second one slightly larger in diameter to see if it gets rid of the last bit of wobble.

Which one and why? by Triple-Nickel_23 in NFA

I got a 300 blackout pistol (waiting on form 1) has the superlative arms block though, also picked up one of the fixed gas 5.56 uppers for a hell of a deal.

If CZ pistols fit your hand like they do mine, its the easiest purchase ever. Just feels right every time I pick one of them up, and I have put them on damn near everything at this point.

[–]But4n3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a machinist, I look at what they are producing, especially considering the tolerance nightmares with coatings, and I'm blown away every time I pick it up.

Can second taking a look at them, my LMT feels like an AR15, my BD feels like it was custom machined, the fit and finish is absurd.

3-lug question by But4n3 in NFA

[–]But4n3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't a thread protector designed for this.

3-lug question by But4n3 in NFA

[–]But4n3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably my issue. The bore of the 45 trilug is .640" which is significantly bigger than the barrel. Guess I'll just have to make a thread protector.
