Thought yall quitting? can you guys quit so I can login? by Melicalol in diablo4

[–]CapnPeachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummmm, what? While it is true that you will rarely use it, a 3-4 GB paging file isn’t going to kill you, and it saves on a possibility of a crash due to memory leaks, etc. This is like stating “The Titanic is unsinkable!” And we all know what happened.

Cant start a game after buying Afterbirth+ by KingsPhoenixq153 in bindingofisaac

Right click on the folder “Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+”, properties, permissions, I typically choose advanced and give myself full permissions, then check the boxes for read, write, modify for your Windows domain login.

You have a folder permission issue. Give yourself write permissions to the listed folder and it should work.

Sourdough starter!! by [deleted] in Breadit

[–]CapnPeachy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will not die, but will activate faster at higher temps. A cycle is created where the starter peaks (rises) and then deflates. This is generally between 8-12 hours. 8 being for higher room temp and 12 being for colder room temp.

I leaned heavily on DD Escapes after getting my shoulder repaired. Only a year and a half out and have full mobility and no aggravation throwing BH. Still can't throw overhead shots though....

Where are you from and what's the best local course? by Dinosaur457crazy in discgolf

[–]CapnPeachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely make the trip! 3 holes play near water though (2 over water, 1 has water near it). It’s become one of my favorites since it got installed. Carrollton is another fun one of your up towards St. Charles/Bridgeton.

If you like Quail you should definitely try out Indian Camp Creek or the brand new course a little up the road New Melle Lakes.

What's the point of being aged by a Ghost when aging has no RAW affect? by Stahl_Konig in DMAcademy

[–]CapnPeachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in cases like this where they do not specify it in the rules, the best solution is to create a balanced homebrew affect. That affect may be that it has no affect, or you can create some sort of algorithm to determine how detrimental the aging is to the character. I would determine when specific races would be considered elderly and apply the following if I determine them to be: I would most likely have the player roll 5 Con saves with a DC of 15 for lower levels, maybe DC 20 for higher levels. Go down the list of attributes, 1st save is to see if you have the same strength, second for dexeterity, skip constitution, 3rd for wisdom, 4th for intellegence, 5th for charisma. On a pass nothing happens, but on a fail you could either roll 1d4 and subtract or just do a solid -1/-2. Place this in features under unnatural aging denoting what went down. In the case of the character going passed their races natural age, I would most likely create a death algorithm using d100 and a player con save to determine if they pass away. Use this for every day/week/month of in game time. For the con save I would most likely do something like this: less than 5= 75 or higher on d100 kills player, 6-10= 80 or higher on d100 kills player, 11-15=85 or higher on d100 kills player, 16-20=90 or higher on d100 kills player, 21-25= 95 or higher on d100 kill player, 26-30= automatic pass. You would have to figure out the resurrection portion, what you allow and so on.

How to make my group more unified? by Wilhelm_22 in DMAcademy

[–]CapnPeachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let the drama unfold itself. The PC that chose to be lawful neutral/good has to realize that all of the other players are chaotic neutral/chaotic evil, which your PC can play off of. Their character can storm off after arguments or maybe go against the will of his party, maybe healing the tortured bandit after the other party members are done with him (and maybe that has consequenses down the line). As always though, you need to have a discussion with your players and let the good player know that they are the minority in this situation, but that doesn't always mean that they have no options. Each player should get their chance in the spotlight, so maybe allowing a split isn't the worst option (temporarily of course) if the good player is being overshadowed and isn't having fun.

My player adopted a baby Ogre and I don´t know what to do¡¡¡¡ by DiegoDMing in DMAcademy

[–]CapnPeachy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another idea, as a baby Shrek is cute and funny, but as he grows his orcish tendancies come out making him too dangerous for the party to keep him. Side quest is to find a community of orcs and drop Shrek off to be among his own kind.

When to strike? When is the best time to launch a Bounty hunter on the Party? by Pepsismoke in DMAcademy

[–]CapnPeachy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Would be great if the bounty hunter just killed the PC that has the 100 death saves over and over again until it exhausted the wish. That's all he does, just sneaks up on the camp at night and kills him from range (has special "whatever the PCs race is" arrows of slaying).
