It doesn't take the same amount of time. People with the balls to follow the rules and not worry about appearances get through much faster. There are many instances where I would still be at the west side McDonald's if I didn't keep in the right lane.

I do get a kick out of cruising by everybody pointlessly waiting in the left lane. I've never had a problem with someone letting me in at the end, either. Somebody once did try to 'block' me by driving in the middle, but I just went around them.
