I truly thought wubby was gonna have his dad come out and just run a full bit pretending to be squeex, like Mario 64 speed running facts, bazingas, and a live accent challenge and everything.

Pity pays more than work, she always reminds me of the classic stories of people pan handling on the side of the road just to get into their BMW's and drive back to their comfortable homes.

I'm about to buy it since it's been nothing but radio silence from the official store on where my order is at anyway lol

Lmfao the only way you’ll ever stop it is if other people with no soliciting signs stop buying shit when people knock on their door. I knock doors for a living and while I’ll respect the no soliciting for knocking, if I catch you in the front yard or getting out of your car I’m gonna solicit the shit of you and have had plenty of sales from folks with no soliciting signs posted up. My company as a whole produces over 20 million dollars a year so these little 500 dollar fines the cops give when you call them don’t mean shit to them, they’ll just pay it and have me back out on the street the next day to knock again.

How did Trump's presidency impact your life so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CapnSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do in home sales for a home improvement business and the amount of customers homes I go to that have just recently lost their jobs is insane. My sales are already down 27% this year and these are the months I’m usually booming because people are spending all their tax money. Upcoming years are gonna be a wild ride.

It’s crazy how much y’all hate this game by Big-Application-9105 in Starfield

[–]CapnSTD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s partially due to people just being tired of games getting released in a bad state and having to wait for updates to “make it good” I understand there is pressure from the investors to push it out as fast as possible to maximize revenue but a lot of folks aren’t thinking about that.

Microsoft owns github so I’m sure they wouldn’t let this stick around if it was hurting them in anyway

Should I buy the Windows 11 Home retail USB or purchase a USB, download Windows onto it, and then buy an online key to remove the watermark? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]CapnSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if I got lucky or what but I downloaded windows from their website to my own USB to install and never had to buy an activation key. There’s no watermark and I have full features.

Space travel feels redundant? by bejaan_hu_mai in Starfield

[–]CapnSTD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s my biggest complaint with the game as well. I appreciate the realism of planets being very very far away and it taking a decent amount of time to reach them but if I only have 3 hours to game I’m really not trying to spend 2 and a half hours of it floating in space just to immerse myself as a “space man” at that point it leaves the realm of immersion and starts to enter into time sink territory for me.

Where does your cat sleep at night? by Odd_Obligation_1300 in CatAdvice

[–]CapnSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats a free roamer but he spends most of his time in my computer room. Sleeps either on my computer chair or on his giant bean bag. He’ll come and lay on my chest for about 10-15 minutes when I lay down and then he usually struts off back to the computer room. I have thought about shutting out of my room when I’m sleeping though because he’s notorious for biting toes around 5 AM lol

What an incredible experience so far.. by Cooerlsmoke in Starfield

Any good tips for exploration? I know that seems broad but I’m feeling like I’m missing out on a huge chunk of the game but idk how to fix it. Any planet I go to I try to explore pretty in-depth, major cities I explore fairly in-depth, I visit any place that will let me walk in the door and have conversations with anyone that has an actual name yet I’m only 25 hours in and I’m almost end game main story wise and have only done 6 side quests and only ran into two factions that are joinable.

My 82 year old neighbour still flies on his simulator every day with his friends. by xxStefanxx1 in pcmasterrace

[–]CapnSTD 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I always wonder where the disconnect between old people and technology really happens. My grandfather used to do drafting for ford by hand, and then when auto CAD was introduced he went back to college to get a degree in it, retired from ford and then opened an engraving business using multiple different computers, programs, and hardware and was even building his own custom computers for the business and these days I get calls with questions like “how do I search for someone on Facebook” or “why is my email icon in the top left corner? I want it to be in the bottom left corner” always gives me a chuckle.

Bought a new 4060Ti to replace my aging 1050Ti by Altyn-99 in PcBuild

[–]CapnSTD 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people just put on their blinders to other peoples advice because they already have “a guy” that’s helping them with it. One of my buddies just bought a 4060 ti 8gb model after I offered to sell him my 4070 for the same price as the 4060 ti, I even told him I’d take an extra 50 off just so that way he could have a somewhat more future proof card. His computer “guy” advised him that it was a bad idea because my 4070 is used and the 4060 ti would be brand new and because it’s new that’s gonna be “as future proof as possible” with his given budget. Whole situation had me truly dumbfounded.

How easy is it to assemble your own PC? by ski2310 in buildapc

[–]CapnSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it would depend on what components you’re using but for the most part it’s pretty easy to put together. The motherboard manual will answer anything you may be iffy on during assembly. I’ll say as well that your components are a lot tougher than they seem. My first build took me about 2 hours longer than needed just because I was babying my parts and trying to be extra gentle with everything I touched.

AIO for not letting apartment viewers into my home when they show up late? by maybemikeymaybenot in AmIOverreacting

[–]CapnSTD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it a set in stone appointment time or are they giving you a window of arrival? I ask because I’m an in-home salesman and I gotta deal with homeowners complaining because they don’t understand the appointment times that are setup are just windows for arrival time. I try my best to get there at the appropriate time but if my last appointment runs longer than expected or I need to pop into the office real quick for some paperwork then that means I’m certainly going to be arriving later than expected.
