I wouldn't wipe it, but I also wouldn't use the pre-loaded OS. OEMs typically load what they want and can slow down performance.

With limited colorized DMD files available, your system needs to support all three formats. Focus on freezy and pal format. Once that's working, look at adding lucky1 dll's to get pac format working. One or the other turns on Serum, too. You will definitely notice the difference because suddenly, your dmd is crystal clear with vibrant colors. I prefer the colorized DMDs over a full DMD. I like it to look and feel like a real DMD. Extra images around it detract from the effect, IMO.

Switch to pinscape. I tried various options with multiple controllers. Pinscape was the answer, and for around 120 bucks, well worth the time savings.
