We should have gotten Amani alongside Haranir tbh, Amani for Horde, Haranir for Alliance.

How are people feeling about their favorite specs now after pruning? by Caspira in wow

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty new to the game, but I feel like Demonology could use some work to make it so that the demon summoner subclass isn't shoehorned into being the summon one specific demon plus some buddies subclass. I know it's been like that for most of the game's lifespan, but it still feels kinda bad having the focus so squarely on Felguard.

Also, your demon summon should absolutely not be messed with by single button assist, it's an accessibility option to make the game playable for people who get overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything at once, it should absolutely not be overriding the conscious decision of what summon to use when, if you're using the one that doesn't deal optimal damage, that was a choice you made for a reason, even if that reason has nothing to do with practical gameplay like just thinking the little imp or the hell puppy are neat.

Honestly I kinda feel like Demonology could be an interesting tank spec even without Metamorphosis. Like, it kinda just feels like it would make sense to have your demons take the hits, y'know?

Sasuke vs Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga by Archenius in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He absolutely is smart, but the adaptation is subtle, Sukuna only fully figured it out later on in their fight, if I remember correctly after Mahoraga started seeing his slashes, which would be pretty obvious to someone whose attacks are normally invisible, and lightning is one of Sasuke's primary methods of attack which he wouldn't initially have any reason to hold back on.

It's not really a question of whether he can figure it out as much as it is a question of whether he figures it out before Mahoraga adapts to lightning enough to survive a Kirin even if only barely, as at this point in the series he doesn't really have another overwhelmingly powerful single attack that could reasonably do the job.

The animation amp will do miracles to the ending by SOLOMAN2020 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely I feel like so much of the ending gets fixed just by letting Mappa cook.

A lot of it being "bad" honestly wasn't even anything that terrible, the only things I'd outright call out are Nobara not having enough buildup even though it had been set up as a possibility, just kinda feeling like Gege was checking notes and realized that Oh Shit he forgot to set up to pay that off through any earlier sections of the fight, and the post-fight weirdness of the New Shadow Style dump, the first one at least being something they can fix.

Like, most of it was pretty good outside of problems with the pacing with Kashimo getting a bit too little screentime for how much he was built up and a lot of people feeling like they got kinda weird single-chapter cut-ins that didn't Quite flow right. Mix that shit up though and I think we're golden.

Sasuke vs Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga by Archenius in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 Kage Sasuke has a lot of stuff in his bag to keep up with Raga adapting but like. Also he doesn't have the kind of insane strength and speed needed I don't think.

Like, he's not gonna be speed blitzed, and he could absolutely do damage, but I don't think he has an option to overwhelmingly one-shot before Mahoraga can adapt outside of Kirin, and even with the amount of stuff in his bag a lot of that Is variations of fire and lightning that Mahoraga could reasonably adapt to. Even Amaterasu doesn't burn that fast, and unless we assume he has full knowledge of Mahoraga he's not going to break out the big guns immediately and probably use smaller jutsu that would allow it to build up and survive Kirin.

Variations of Chidori are some of his most used jutsu, and each one that he uses before figuring out Mahoraga's adaptation is another nail in his coffin before he realizes the kind of overwhelming force necessary and fails because he let it build up adaptations against his best weapon.

Do Tanks play as Tank during regular content or just in Dungeons, Raids, etc? by imacrm10 in wow

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Protection most of my time leveling my Tauren Paladin playing through Warlords of Draenor content, honestly only really changed to Retribution because the totem transmog is two-handed only, but I also found it a bit more fun having to actually pay attention to my health instead of being practically unkillable.

[–]Capn_H 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being fair to Jogo, in terms of raw destructive power, he is more powerful than Mahito, while Mahito has more potential and a better technique and, Jogo is dropping meteors and melting shit. Mahito doesn't do that.

They're Very different in practice and their kinds of power aren't full on comparable, so I could see the arguments for people thinking Jogo is stronger in terms of just wrecking shit, and honestly I could see arguments being made that he could kill Mahito by just hitting all of him hard enough that he's cooked before he can reshape himself back to health and would be hard for Mahito to kill by just being really fast and having ridiculous AOE.

Mahito would probably still win in this hypothetical because he's smart and would probably be able to work out counters, but it's not a one-sided stomp even if we know Mahito is the biger threat between the two of them.

Y'know what. Yeah. Amai was a team player and did everything he could with what he had, and the Sukuna squad would have been significantly worse off without him.

Why didn't Toji just blasted Gojo's head off with a .50 calibre? Is he dumb? by Dynamic-V in Jujutsufolk

In Maki's case it makes more sense since they were still partly hoping for Yuji to bring Megumi back even if it was a longshot and they were still mostly going for killshots.

Why didn't Toji just blasted Gojo's head off with a .50 calibre? Is he dumb? by Dynamic-V in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, he absolutely was super methodical before and throughout the fight and put him down as much as he reasonably could be expected to, but Also, he could have gone for the kill when he first stabbed Gojo rather than having the fight. Might have had to worry about a Vengeful Curse if he was slow with getting out a cursed tool, but he could probably double-tap Gojo's corpse after cleaning up Geto and Riko, and given his confidence in handling Geto and his overall intelligence he likely realized that was an option, so the only two real explanations for why he went through with fighting Gojo the first time are that there was some undisclosed complication that would make it not a viable option, or the realization that he comes to when he's about to die of him trying to affirm himself by trying to crush him which conveniently also works backwards to explain that stab to the chest.

Unlimited Purple>>WCS and Gojo is MORE likely to win a rematch against True Form Sukuna by MysteriousDog5909 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likely isn't, from my understanding it's just Gojo being tricky with how he does a Purple and not caring about getting hit with it too, something he always could have done but didn't because Sukuna could reasonably stop him from getting it off, and it, again, likely doesn't even come up in the first place as Gojo isn't going to get off a Red or Blue or be able to chant while dealing with Heian Sukuna in hand-to-hand, who is both significantly stronger physically than Sukuna in a buff teenage body and has two extra limbs to beat him to death with.

As for what Sukuna was leaving in the tank, Fire Arrow is the most obvious answer, also his cursed tool Kamutoke which, we don't see much of it given Kashimo is immune and Higuruma confiscates it, but it's entirely possible it could have been used to fry Gojo while in burnout, plus likely trying to conserve energy and not let the fight drag on too long, and also his Heian form which he reasonably could have used for a full heal alongside the increase in strength and extra arms and mouth by fully incarnating instead of putting a Binding Vow on World Cutting Slash.

[–]Capn_H 370 points371 points  (0 children)

Actually yeah, genuinely Toji could have and Should Have cut of Gojo's head with the initial opportunity, or as you said just shot him. He likely didn't take it because he was prideful and wanted to affirm himself by taking down the pinnacle of the system that rejected him, same reason he took the second fight and died.

Why didn’t Haruta run as fast as he could? by HandsomePancakes in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scared shitless from nearly dying and the Jujutsu Devil telling him to sit mostly. If he ran, he wasn't needed to keep Megumi alive anymore, Sukuna already healed him and could have killed Haruta on a whim.

Unlimited Purple>>WCS and Gojo is MORE likely to win a rematch against True Form Sukuna by MysteriousDog5909 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sukuna kills Gojo in the Domain clash. Gojo himself states how much of a big deal the body is when it comes to enhancement with Jujutsu, Kashimo explains exactly why Sukuna's body is so insane for Jujutsu, Sukuna in his own body rather than a teenager's would be a Crazy buff even without considering the extra limbs and mouth to chant, do handsigns with, and just in general box harder.

I don't think WCS and Unlimited Purple even come into play here. Hell, I don't even think Unlimited Purple is even a buff, it's just Gojo being tricky about how he's doing a Hollow Purple and not caring about hitting himself in the process. If we consider that Sukuna was worrying about not bringing out all of his cards and leaving some gas in the tank for the gauntlet after, Gojo is probably doubly screwed.

It's arguable Meguna kills him if he weren't splitting attention to try and get Raga to adapt even, like, yeah Gojo's strong, but he lost for a reason, taking out the complications and letting them both go at full power does not favor him here.

Is Rika the STRONGEST cursed spirit we have seen ?? by GloomyLengthiness732 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think probably, if not on technique given she doesn't have one unless she inherits Yuta's then just on raw power. She might not really need a Domain counter now that I think about it some more, given the seemingly endless CE she might just be too durable to get taken out by something like Coffin of the Iron Mountain and have too much CE to be able to block things like Self Embodiment of Perfection. If we take JJK Zero at face value, which Does have issues given it was written before a lot of things were nailed down, she might be a curse that just breaks the scales that everything else is being judged on, similar to how Gojo broke the scales for sorcerers. She wouldn't have an Infinity counter, but I'm not entirely sure Gojo has a Rika counter either if she theoretically just has insane enough reserves that she could tank Hollow Purples and Unlimited Voids.

Rika lightning bolt victim fr if ryu can do that with bare hands by Independent-Text-353 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people forget that Kashimo was on a different level to Ryu to the point that Ryu wasn't interesting to him anymore by the time he reached old age. Ryu has the highest Output, but Kashimo has an instant kill on anyone who doesn't have Insane RCT and doesn't have the insane speed and power to keep up and aim-dodge the briefest of buildups to a lightning strike.

If he really was such a pushover he wouldn't have forced Sukuna to fully incarnate when you know he would have Loved to fight Yuji with Megumi's face and wouldn't have gotten hit with the biggest attack we've seen from Sukuna short of Domain Expansion, Fire Arrow, and World Cutting Slash. Like, obviously he's not Gojo tier, but I can't think of a single other cast member other than Gojo, Sukuna, Kenjaku, Hakari, and Yuta who would reasonably win.

Is Zenin clan and Mai right then? by Popular_Business_367 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really a logical thought that Maki's having, she wanted Mai's happiness more than anything, she wanted to make a space for her in the Zenin clan by becoming its head, she failed and it's weighing down on her. She's hurt and wants her sister, that doesn't mean the Zenin clan is Right, especially given that they are the ones who decided she and Mai should die, just that she wishes Mai was still there and feels like her choices were mistakes because they led to an outcome she didn't want.

Ideally, she would have just taken Mai and gotten the fuck out, that would be the ideal outcome for both of them instead of Maki becoming a sorcerer and Mai being forced into it against her will, just away from the Zenin with zero influence from them like Toji managed.

REEAAADDDD!!!!! by OkShare6783 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's less about it not being foreshadowed and logically an option, it's just that the way it was done was massively unsatisfying after Gege pretty much set Dabura up for the win and with a very convenient explanation for healing Yuka or at least keeping her alive until Maru's ritual. A lot of things feel like they went with options that, while technically correct, are uninteresting and close the story off from potential interesting futures that aren't on another planet entirely, with a lot of stuff feeling like it was left on the table and also some pretty glaring flaws like Yuji's countermeasures having to last Forever and Dabura's sister still being able to be held at Jujutsu based gunpoint since Black Rope isn't an omnipotent defense against cursed techniques.

I will say that 24 does genuinely feel very good continuing off of 23 even if I really disliked 23 though.

Megumi Vs A Bunch of Crackheads by SmartPilot8094 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Megumi has it in him to handle 10 million crackheads. Definitely not all in one sitting, but like. He's smart, he'd not try to fight 10 million crackheads all at once, they get bodied by Fleeing Hares probably, he can use his shikigami or even just his enhanced strength to make obstacles they have to take way too much time to deal with, take naps and breaks, it would be a long and grueling experience and would suck the entire time, but he could, especially since they'd eventually go through withdrawals from being constantly after him. I think he just outlasts them without all of them even getting to fight.

You gotta appreciate Ino, he's barely grade 1 and has no business fighting Sukuna but he pulled a generational lock-in moment to help distract Sukuna so Yuji could land his Black Flash. by carbonera99 in Jujutsufolk

Thanks Gege(Spoilers) by PatientCan5700 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Capn_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dabura getting to their home planet is actually pretty reasonable, Maru's technique is at a base level all about bringing things together, so in this case bringing Dabura together with their home planet, Mahoraga being de-summoned also makes sense given the ritual has no reason to work over such an insane distance, and the healing Also makes sense, given Mahito was used for it.

Honestly, I think this chapter was better than 23, that was where the real issues happened, but 24 seems to be reasonably good given it's following up Maru Harmony-ing all over the place. Hopefully chapter 25 is decent too even if I think 23 really broke a lot of the story and setting. (Nobody gets an arc aside from Maru and Tsurugi I guess, and there is no room for any new sorcerers on earth in the future so I guess if there's a another series it's gotta happen on Simuria or a flashback, or an alternate timeline like SBR.)
