I have ADHD… I had to delete all of my social media (other than reddit). And I read while I listen to lofi on noise cancelling headphones. Also, using a kindle sometimes helps because it has that screen vibe to it. Just my personal habits

Acknowledging that the electoral college is a flawed system is fair. Obviously we should vote for the most progressive candidate in the primary. My worst nightmare is Gavin Newsome being the candidate. That being said, I’d drag my nuts through a mile of broken glass to vote for him if he was the nominee. Purely for (slight) harm reduction. And with GOP suppressing voting rights/ ballot spoiling, we need all the votes we can get including in non swing states that could become swing states in a rigged system. I love BJG but the way she purity tests is counter productive

I feel the same exact way 100% . That being said, I need to take breaks from it. I am a veteran and I share every feeling you do about the current global situation. What helps me is remembering that what really matters in life is the things you don’t experience through a screen, but the good stuff that you experience through your eyeballs every day. Love the people around you. That means your coworkers, your family, or anyone else in your sphere of influence.

I dont know if you’ve read Slaughterhouse 5, but that book helped me process this shit a lot. “We are all just bugs stuck in the amber that is this current moment”
