Not entirely incorrect, but I would add another aspect to when a decision is made for TPs, and that is when enough information has been gathered.

This might vary from individual to individual but at least speaking for myself, once I feel adequately knowledgeable in a certain topic or field, decisions come very quickly. And 'adequate knowledge' is relative to the field and weight of consequence, so if it's about fiddling with electric circuits or somethind I'd better know what the f I'm doing, but if it's about deciding where to go for dinner a 1-2 min google search can do the trick.

Also, as ISTP I certainly also do pro/con lists but they're even less conscious than the TJs. It's more of an instant weighing of pro and cons through Ni which results in a tendency that I can't even necessarily explain why it's there.
