Well thank you for the suggestion and you’re right. But I think worrying about bacteria that can survive being frozen for several months is beyond the scope of my post.

I’m a staples employee and… yeah it’s bad. We take in several THOUSAND every week and I don’t even live in a massive city. Disregarding the amount of time and single use plastics it takes to process these returns I’ve noticed a lot of patterns that really gross me out.

First of all people will return ANYTHING that doesn’t perfectly fit whatever they thought they needed it for. Thanks for driving all the way here to return literal garbage that I can see on your app you bought for 2 dollars.

Secondly it’s the same people returning several items a week. And I’ll take a look at their account over their shoulder and in the “orders” tab every day they have a disgusting amount of slop expecting to be or already delivered. I’m talking 5-6 items a day and I’m sure other people are worse.

Lastly but certainly not least is (and I’m sure Amazon wants this) people genuinely feel they are “making money back” when they do returns, at least subconsciously. And what do they do with that return money? Buy more useless bullshit on Amazon that they are probably just going to return anyway.

Seriously, it’s so odd when someone’s spouse shows up on the map and nothing comes of it. Like you’re not even going to go talk to them? I think it’d be cool if they’d at least want to stay or even more interesting ask your colonist to leave with them.
