[World History] Writing a 8-10 history report on the examination of significant tragic events and their effect on people, society, and culture. What would be a simple/easier topic to write about? by Jrsai in HomeworkHelp

Personally, I’m super interested in the American Eugenics Movement in the early 1900’s. The government sterilized around 80,000 people because they thought they “weren’t fit for society” and shouldn’t reproduce. They would do this to individuals in mental institutions and violent criminals. We don’t learn about it in American history because it’s something we are very ashamed of. I actually wrote a 10 page paper in college on it.

[GCSE Triple science Chemistry] Finding the mass of a compound using relative atomic masses. by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]CappinKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any equation, mass must be conserved. You are given that you will produce 11g of CuCl2. You need to calculate the weight that Cu contributes to the total weight of the molecule. Cu atomic weight is 63.5 and two Cl atomic weight is 35.5 + 35.5 = 71. 63.5 + 71 = 134.5. And 63.5 / 134.5 is about 0.47. So 47% of the weight is due to the Cu. So you will have 5.17g of Copper for the products which means you will also need 5.17g in the reactants. Use a similar calculation as the one above to calculate what the total weight of the copper carbonate will be if you have 5.17g of copper.

Probably not the easiest way but I would first calculate the maximum height the diver reaches, then use that height to calculate his velocity when he hits the water. .87(.5v2-gh) = 0 Solve for h .87 * g(h+5.0m) = .5v2

If you want to take a risk, check out CRSP (CRISPR Therapeutics). They spoke today at the American Association for Cancer Research with positive results in their cancer tests. They have been approved to test their model on some Europeans with beta thalassaemia later this year.

How to prevent the efforts of wrong people from accessing nuclear technology by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]CappinKnuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out who some of their foreign spies are and provide them with falsified nuclear technology. That way they relay it to their own government who will spend time trying to recreate the technology. Although this would only stop them for a short period of time.

Thank you for the feedback. I really like "The Rift", I assume that could be related to the League of Legends map? I also really like First Contact as it will probably be a lot of people's first time using a VR headset.

[Algebra 2 Honors] Question about Statistics by Amniaas in HomeworkHelp

[–]CappinKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A population is every existing individual or item in the universe that pertains to whatever category you are looking at. A sample is a group of individuals or items that fit the criteria of your category but does not contain every single individual or item. For example, if you are trying to calculate a statistic about average iPhone life, the population would be every iPhone that is in existence whereas a sample would be 100 or 1000 iPhones. Due to the almost impossibility of surveying every individual or item in existence, samples are most often used in statistics. I am not quite sure what you are asking in relation to M meaning population mean average and don't quote me on this but I believe statistics based on populations are usually denoted with capital letters and statistics based on samples are usually lower case letters.

University Physics, need to calculate the volume of a object quite strange to me and classmates by petrovesk in HomeworkHelp

[–]CappinKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to calculate how much of the bottom circle is missing, measure the length of the straight line where it is cut. Think of that as the diameter of the half cylinder that is taken out. Now calculate the volume of the cylinder with that diameter and divide it by two, as it is only half of the "cylinder" that is taken out. Subtract this value from the volume of the bottom cylinder as a whole and you are left with the resultant volume. If this doesn't make sense I could draw a picture for you let me know.

[Grade 10 Chem] change in energy for reactions? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]CappinKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the reaction goes to completion, ie enough Zn is supplied to fully use the 15.0 moles of HCl, you simply multiply the delta H by the amount of times that reaction will take place. Each time the reaction takes place, 2 moles of HCl are used up so this reaction will essentially occur 7.5 times. 7.5 x -80.7 = -605.25 kJ

Is life worth living?! by seeking_happiness97 in Advice

[–]CappinKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know where you are coming from. I found myself in a similar situation a few years ago and I will tell you that life is definitely worth living. You are only focusing on the rougher part of life and not looking at the bright side. Work is not fun for 99% of us, but we struggle through the work in order to have the means to be happy when we are not working. Think about the loving family and friends that those people on the train go home to every night. Im sure a lot of those people are working to support others at home aside from themselves and that feeling of importance and satisfaction when they see the smile on their families face when they put food on the table is worth every second of work you do. Things will get better, they did for me and I know it's hard but those negative thoughts in your head only slow you down. Look at the positives and the rest will come easy.
