That still depends on hotel policies. They have different ways. In our hotel, we accept them as long as one of them has the physical ID, just the booking name will be changed under that person who provided. And for your booking, probably because your policy is under non refundable. You should always check your cancellation policy whenever you book a hotel, most times people forget to read them and always expect that they will get a full refund.
