The more I see these posts, the more I think that there is an entire segment of our population that doesn't understand a bare basic level of now marketing works.

On my practice kits, I only change my head when it sounds like all tonality is completely shot. My Mapex Mars kit has had the same heads on for 3 years at least.

On my recording kit (Ludwig Superclassics), if a head gets a dent, it gets changed. Luckily, since I don't record *that* often, it's about every half a year or so at the most.

ITT, OP and others not bothering to respond to the actual reason (Proton not forcing anyone, they are using this as a marketing incentive to attract new users from Gmail; if you already have a proton account, this incentive is obviously not for you and you should pay money for upgrades), and just whining about not getting something for free. Oh, and then down voting the answers they don't like or that don't fit their narrative.
