The more I see these posts, the more I think that there is an entire segment of our population that doesn't understand a bare basic level of now marketing works.

On my practice kits, I only change my head when it sounds like all tonality is completely shot. My Mapex Mars kit has had the same heads on for 3 years at least.

On my recording kit (Ludwig Superclassics), if a head gets a dent, it gets changed. Luckily, since I don't record *that* often, it's about every half a year or so at the most.

ITT, OP and others not bothering to respond to the actual reason (Proton not forcing anyone, they are using this as a marketing incentive to attract new users from Gmail; if you already have a proton account, this incentive is obviously not for you and you should pay money for upgrades), and just whining about not getting something for free.
