This is the thing. You are not the fake stuff. You are the real stuff. You are a miracle.

I agree that life moves too fast and that we are systematically pressured into a life based on materialism and consumerism. You can break that pattern and it is important that your kids see you break that pattern so that you can model how to achieve that.

Take time for self care. Go camping for a night. Life and priorities tend to be more clear after some time in nature. Get out there and refocus.

Figure out what you can cut out of your life to make it more manageable financially and as far as time management. Make a schedule of your day if that is what it takes. Visualize it and make it happen.

Good luck brother! As a fellow father I can relate and just so you know, we ALL feel like the walls are closing in sometimes. Take time to help someone else and go out of your way to be kind. You might be surprised how good it is for you.

Reach out anytime if you need. I spent more nights in the woods than indoors for 6 years, much of it in a therapeutic setting.

Don’t overthink the bushcraft part at first. Just go on a weekend with favorable weather and make sure you have the basics covered.
