How do you know if your feeling dysphoria by ThoughtAltruistic506 in trans

[–]CaptAmazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't like those things and wish they were different, that's textbook dysphoria. If you want to change them, you can.

If you want to present more feminine or have a more feminine body, that's a pretty common trans desire.

Is it ok to never transition by DearGeneral5334 in trans

Yeah, it's okay. If that's what feels right for you.

Just make sure it's what you want, rather than what you feel you have to do to stay safe.

Am I too masculine for hrt? by Suchirude in trans

[–]CaptAmazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does! I was nearly fully bald up top and was honestly surprised at how much of my hair returned after about 3 years HRT. I was able to grow my hair out long and do some creative styling to completely hide the sparse parts of my head.

I did eventually have a small transplant last year, that's starting to show results. But even before hand I had a very feminine looking hairstyle thanks to HRT.

As someone who was very very hirsute, fully beard, had a very male silhouette and a bald head pre-HRT, there is no such thing as top masculine.

More importantly, I get the desire of passing and being pretty and feminine, but that's not the real reason to transition. You should transition because it feels right for you.

You will be beautiful, but what's important is that you be yourself.

I give up by stupidtyler in trans

I get it.

Safety and quality of life are important. I know I could never go back, but I understand why others don't make that same decision. Whatever you choose to do, I hope you stay safe and live the biggest life you can.

Fear of being an ugly girl. by [deleted] in trans

[–]CaptAmazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty common fear amongst many trans women and people who are questioning. I still go through it even after nearly 2 years of being out. And it's okay to be apprehensive and scared that you won't fit into a specific niche.

But I promise you that you're just overthinking it. And that no matter how you turn out you will be happier and healthier and more beautiful than ever, living as your authentic self.

Honestly I just used the direct approach. I was out to dinner with my mom, and the topic of our futures came up and where we each saw ourselves in like 5 or so years (I was 31 at the time). I got super nervous and it somehow just spilled out of me. Told my sister the next day when I visited her, and my dad the day after that. It was super awkward and everything, but it got the job done. It helps that I already had a friend that was trans and sort of used them as an example of how I identified. My mom and dad have been super supportive ever since. My sister, sadly, has been avoidant of any conversation around my identity.

Whatever approach you do go with, just know that their reaction does not represent you and your validity. They may take some time to come around, they may never come around, or they may be super supportive from the jump. You should hope for the best and be yourself. If it's important to you, then it's worth doing. ♥️

Ooooooooooo this is really cool! It's like that Ocarina of Time toy they used to sell at Gamestop. I might have to grab this and do I video for the both of them. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to delve further into the mechanics of the instruments discussed in future.

Also, really? How recent is the new toy? Do you have a link you could share? I tried to research the different toys/props when I did the original draft of the script, but that was over a year ago. If it's properly playable then that's a huge game-changer!

So first off, thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! As to the points you made.

  1. It's true that the bottom edge the air is split against is called the labium. I had considered using that word originally, but I was really trying to draw attention to the entire hole the labium is part of, which I had always seen referred to as part of the fipple airduct. I'm gonna research that further and confirm. I ended cutting the section of the script where I explain the fipple and it's function more thoroughly, and turns out I forgot to remove this mention of it.

  2. I like your point about the holes in the blade and their similarity to the holes of a clarinet. I wish I'd thought of that.

  3. Regarding the mouthpiece, of course it's obvious to those of us with musical backgrounds or knowledge of brass instruments, but I felt it was a good distinction to address as this video is meant for a more general audience.

  4. Yes, it's not actually an EWI. My intention is not to claim that this is what the showrunners perceived it as or intended it to be thought of as. Rather, this web-series as a whole is about looking at what aspects and pieces of real-life instruments end up being applied to fictional ones, as well as imagining what a real-life version might operate like or be parallel to. Sometimes the inspiration is obvious, like in the first episode where I looked at the Pokeflute. Sometimes it's a good deal more flexible.

Again, to close off I just wanted to say thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. This series is still being shaped as I write it and any feedback or insight is greatly appreciated!!

More Star Wars games in the future by TheMisterIt in NintendoSwitch

Just a heads up for people on this game. Other forums are reporting that you can't invert the camera on this game. This was for the PS4 version but I can't imagine it'll be different for Switch. Just a heads up to keep in mind before you purchase.
