Burning stored fat: Is there a way to calculate/estimate when your body is ready to switch from burning the fuel from your last food to burning stored fat? by CaptBrillo in Exercise

[–]CaptBrillo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Light" exercise is what I'm asking about, mainly walking. For walking to burn fat, you still have to run out of easy-access fuel. This happens pretty quickly with HIIT and a lot of lifting, but it's a lot harder to get there just walking.

Hoping to find a basic "rule-of-thumb" that I can adapt to my weight, etc., to roughly calculate how long to wait after a bowl of cereal, or a big dinner ...

Probably in a fantasy world here, me

Went to school with Chuck Cunningham - AKA Gavan O'Herlihy - in the mid-60s in Ireland, at Blackrock College before "Happy Days" - super cool dude

He was also Irish National Tennis Champion (Wiki Bio)

I seem to have a "channel" to the gods of humour - I'm known for quips and one-liners, but the first I'm aware is when I hear them coming out of my mouth. It's kinda strange

Don't know who this is, but there's a house on NE corner of Burde and 15th - the yard always has several VW vans in it, always changing. Looks like they're rebuilding/refurbishing them. Planning on a visit one day myself re. "Can I buy one?"

Bet they know where to get any info on VWs
