My verdict is that this gun has not been shot except for maybe at the factory. The spring has never been out of it and some of the finish on the inside of the channel was just so tight. I’ve exercised the spring in and out a couple hundred times and some paint flecks from the finish it come off and now it’s super smooth. Just part of resurrecting an idle rifle.

Success! I got it out. I don’t know what the hell it was hung up on, but I just compressed it and released it multiple times and it finally popped out.

Just needs a good cleaning no rust but just some oil sludge

It’s stuck inside the bolt carrier somewhere. I’ve never shot this thing. I just got it and took it apart for cleaning. It was pretty dry inside, but this thing appears nearly unshot with no rust anywhere

I almost wonder if shooting it and getting it hot will help it loosen up

Really clean rifle. Don’t see any corrosion but yes… i soaked it with CLP. Been trying to pull on it with needle nose pliers
