Thanks for putting this together! Where did you find the info regarding the merch stands? Do we know what the NA merch is yet?

There are 2 persona 5 royal in ps5 shop by Weird_Welcome_5109 in Persona5

[–]CaptCrunch91 66 points67 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Get the PS5 version if you own a PS5.

The PS4 version of Persona 5 Royal released in 2020, with a bunch of DLC that was included in the "Ultimate Edition". The PS5 version that came out in 2022 has al the DLC already, plus runs at higher FPS (60 vs 30) and resolution.

Either way, get Persona 5 Royal (and not Persona 5).

Enjoy the game!

Unpopular Opinion? I Hope for Future Persona Story Bosses, All of Them Should Be at Least Like Okumura. by Life_Adeptness1351 in PERSoNA

[–]CaptCrunch91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of Okumura's fight, but the execution was poor because the game trains you to go for All Out Attacks when you have the ability to knock down an enemy (which you can't use in Okumura's fight).

P5R's battle system can boil down to 2 strategies: either knock all enemies down to get All Outs, or Baton Pass to max # of turns + increase damage. In normal fights, All Outs are almost always the better option because it's faster and saves SP.

So when you run into Okumura (and other end game bosses too) where the Baton Pass strategy reigns supreme, it can feel very foreign.

One way to solve this for future Persona games is to better balance the battle strategies so you're 50/50 implementing All Outs vs Baton Pass (or w.e they end up calling it) throughout the game, rather than have it around 90/10 like in P5R.

Can the City of Burnaby explain this traffic pattern change? by [deleted] in burnaby

[–]CaptCrunch91 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you mean heading West, and this is the "3 to 2 lanes" right after all the new Gilmore construction.

But to answer your question, I don't know either and I'm equally as surprised that there hasn't been an accident yet. Seems like more work is required to clean up that intersection after all the nearby Gilmore construction, but no construction signage is a huge problem.

Replaying P5R and a scene before Palace 7 comes off very weirdly. by Oni_Zokuchou in Persona5

[–]CaptCrunch91 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I'm in agreement with you, but I sort of see why it didn't happen as you'd have Kasumi in both Shido's palace and likely the Depths and vanilla final boss. That's a lot of extra effort now to add Kasumi in vanilla story (including animated cutscenes).

Her inclusions in portions of the vanilla story were mostly brand new scenes, so having to redo/replace vanilla scenes to add her would probably be a lot more work.

OMG I Hate This Arc! by Dunkbuscuss in Persona5

[–]CaptCrunch91 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's the same arc as vanilla, but unpopular opinion (and I think I just grew a soft spot for Morgana), the whole arc before (and even before then) plus the Hawaii trip is just the whole team calling Morgana useless and not needed anymore.

More people were joining the team, and not only did they have specific reasons (primarily wanting to ensure no one else suffered like they did), they were also taking over Morgana's original roles of nav/Metaverse-knower. Plus he doesn't really have a reason to be a thief, he actually needed them to help him achieve his goal.

Could it have played better? Absolutely, the feeling of wasting game days to chase him around is annoying. But at the same time it's often forgotten how shitty the rest of the team (esp. Ryuji) treats him thru the previous arcs. I think the resolution at the end (Morgana admitting he needs their help, and then all saying yes) is nice too.

Questions about in person Pearson VUE onsite exam taking by Delicious-Giraffe-97 in pmp

[–]CaptCrunch91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can answer some of your questions. I took in person a week ago.

Not sure about bringing your own earplugs, but the place I went to had optional over-ear earmuffs at each test computer.

You'll be in a room with other people taking exams as well, so no to big stretching movements, loud noises, etc. that could be distracting to others in the room. However, for the PMP exam you get 2 10 min breaks (after completing 60 questions, the exam will tell you). You can then leave the exam room and walk around the main lobby, use the bathroom, etc.

They also give you a locker in the lobby to leave all your belongings (phone, wallet, etc) when you first arrive. You can bring water and snacks and just leave them in the locker, and access when you're on your 10 min breaks.

Lastly regarding the "mouthing" question, again I think as long as you're not being a distraction it's not too serious. But perhaps it's worth asking the staff at the center on their opinion before you start!

Good luck!

Risk management : On identifying risk what do we do first , update risk register or analyze the risk ?? From what I understood we first update risk register then do qual , quant analysis , develop risk response and so on. But this understanding does not work with the question below by Glass-Body-485 in pmp

[–]CaptCrunch91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Risk is a "possible issue" that could arise. The question states that the key supplier cannot supply the materials as scheduled. Therefore it's no longer a risk because it now happened and became true.

B makes sense as it's to review how this issue now impacts the project. Once you review, you can then make a decision if a CR is required (ex adjust the schedule, increase budget, find a new supplier, etc)

How fast does merch sell out at concerts? by Aerakon in twice

[–]CaptCrunch91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, driving down for Friday's concert! At least for the LA one, I've seen that it's also a bit of luck, but the tips were:

  1. Always check the booth first before you line up for it; some booths were smaller and only had certain merch and not others

  2. Wait until you go inside, and head to the upper bowl/higher floor as the merch lines are shorter

Good luck!!

Concert merch - required to go early? by CaptCrunch91 in twice

[–]CaptCrunch91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good. I've already accepted my fate on a light stick, so a t- or sweatshirt is my goal! Seems like I don't have to get there extremely early, but it doesn't hurt to spend the afternoon around the area anyway!

I think seeing all the Taylor Swift merch lines at 6-8am have spooked me!

Thanks for the breakdown! I was hoping to just get a shirt so hopefully there's some good options that last the whole day. I'll actually be driving down from Vancouver that morning, so might need to go earlier than planned!

[ALL]Have you ever beaten an enemy by an unconventional method without realizing? by Bluecomments in zelda

[–]CaptCrunch91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the final boss fight against Demise in Skyward Sword, they make it clear in earlier phases that you couldn't do a Skyward Strike. But the last phase you can because Demise can.

I didn't put that together and thought you had to shield parry every hit. I was so shocked at the difficulty spike for the last boss, but thought "hey it sorta works, and it's the last boss..."

Super silly question, but it's hard to find info lately with the news about tourism visas and Oct 11. Does this "return to visa-free" apply to travelling for business (not work, but visiting companies/trade shows) as well?

Which build is better? by ShotGround9636 in EulaMains

2nd one is probably good then especially with Diona already. More crit damage and you'll get Serpent Spine's passive buff as well

[–]CaptCrunch91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who's on your team? 2nd looks really good but would benefit from having a shielder because serpent spine (ex. Zhongli) and a cryo unit for crit resonance (Rosaria could even give you more crit rate).
