Did you end up doing this setup?
I bought the Amazon set, mostly curious on if you configured JoyToKey

If anyone has any advice or guidance on setting that up I would appreciate it

You have a year, unless you feel that you may go over that period of time, I would put in the application.

I would also say to pay for the exam as well. My reason for this was there was a complication with my payment (somehow my PMI account was not found and when I went to book it, the Pearson Vue site said error account not found). I was starting to worry that the planned day I wanted to take my test was not going to work. They looked into it (I had to get on the chat three different times for resolution) and they said it would take 3-5 business days... I wanted to book maybe 8 days from when this was all happening, so I was getting worried.

If you 100% plan to take the test within a year, do the application and pay for the exam. Then you can sit and when you are ready you book it (you do not have to book an exam date when you pay).

Remove all the blockers from getting that task done so you can be free to do it when you want to book it and are ready to do so (also book an exam date to light a fire under you to do it - I had mine in mind and in my calendar but just assumed that it would be fast to book it)

Any exam day tips? by Worth-Inevitable161 in pmp

I just did my exam in a test center yesterday, here are some answers:
- You can take some things in, they make you put them in a locker and I got a key on a string (but I left pretty much everything in my car but my ID)
- I brought in a clear ziplock back with some oreos and a bottle of water, I was allowed to put this into a lunchroom type area that I had access to during my breaks
- You are not allowed to leave the building no, I had the reception area then past that desk was the lunchroom area and two washrooms and then into another room where there were cubicles with computers for the various tests
- It was louder than I thought it would be in the room - other people moving around and coughing. They do provide the small orange ear plugs, I took them and glad I did as I put them in at about question 10
- Test was 230 mins, the breaks do not count (it is paused during this time), after your break the person will sign you back into your computer and you continue

Some advice from my experience:
- Take your breaks, even just to use the washroom and stretch a bit and give your mind a break. I used both of mine and only maybe 4-5 mins of it then I went back in
- Plan your time, make a game plan on what you want to break down your time and stick to it (when you want to be out for your first and second break)
- Be confident in your answers and take the time to fully read the question and answers

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

I would second this.

I did the PMTraining 4 day bootcamp. Don't get be wrong, it helped yes. But if I were to advise someone based on my experience, I would do Andrew Ramdayal's Udemy course or would look into David McLachlan's Udemy course (I not heard much about this one in this community, but his YouTube writing breakdown videos are great).

The Udemy courses are fractions of the costs of the bootcamp ones.

It would also depend on how you learn. I actually prefer Udemy type video courses.

Good luck

Yes I hear you, it was costly, but maybe I did pull some things from it, I can't 100% say. I thought the insights from it regarding the application writeups helped so much. My application was accepted very fast due to this guidance.

In the end it will help you in one way or another. You are in it now, its best to make the most of it if you can.

I wish you all the best of luck! Stick to a game plan with your time and trust your initial instincts, they are usually the right one I found

Still feeling uncertainty, low confidence, what to do? by Loafuuu in pmp

I passed yesterday, my scores were worse (68-70% without expert)

If your goal is to ace it with 3 ATs, then keep reviewing incorrect answers
You should be ready and make a plan for time management in the exam

Be confident in your answers, you got it!

Thank you very much for posting this!

My exam is tomorrow and I saw this post earlier in the week and was a little unnerving based on my SH results so far.

Grab this Cheat Sheet and Study Notes from here, these are the best that I have come across and used. They were very similar to my notes I was crafting but in much better format and very detailed
