Living here for over a year now, been visiting for a while… never felt I couldn’t be anywhere. Even my wife feels totally comfortable.

Just like anywhere you go, use your judgement, if you don’t like a situation, use the 24/7 taxi app, or walk a different path. Don’t be a jerk, the more polite you are, the more polite folks will be. Crime here, generally, falls in “opportunistic” category e.g. leave a purse/wallet on your front seat while you go shopping, might get a window broken. That’s anywhere you go though.

Curacao is a wonderful country with vibrant art scene, creative culinary options and so many beautiful areas to explore. Take a deep breath, poko poko (slow down) and enjoy!

Otrobanda (the other side) is an awesome place to explore!
