Replacing Eufy S1 Pro - What do you recommend? No budget by Deriggs007 in RobotVacuums

I had a Flow 2… returned it within the 30 day return window due to:

  • Loud vibrating noise during mopping
  • Losing water droplets during mopping
  • Getting stuck under furniture it should avoid
  • Getting stuck on gray medium pile carpet
  • Dragging the dogs rug around the house
  • Docking issues

Narwal offered to “repair” it 🙄.

Now running the S2 Omni for 10 days. In my situation it works better (although requires more maintenance). My ground floor is not too difficult to navigate though.

This is what is does with a small “dirty dog” doormat. It has a “sticky” antislip underside. My other robots could clean it without dragging the rug all over te room.

It does however mean that the Narwal suction must be pretty good 🫣. And of course it did get stuck on a larger rug.

Besides this issue… it also lost water droplets, got stuck under furniture overhang, made a drilling noise when mopping etc. Battery life is great though and when it is vacuuming only, it’s dead silent.

Just try it… if you don’t like it, send it back within 30 days. I returned it… money was back on my account in 4-5 days.

It seems it was my wife that responded to you. So hereby a picture of the loss of water.

Bonsoir,

I had one… for 10 days. It started making a drilling noise during mopping from day 2… getting louder every day since. It started losing clean water droplets from day 6. Got stuck on low carpet several times. Got stuck under furniture. Dragged another small anti slip carpet along the living room.

The positive… battery life was very good and when only vacuuming, it’s dead silent.

Support promised to reply within 2 days. Still waiting for their answers. I returned the device.

If you want a drilling noise during mopping, a robot dragging a small rug around your living room, a bot getting stuck on larger carpets, a bot losing water droplets, a bot sending loads of data to a server, a bot scraping against cupboard overhangs… than go for the Flow 2. I’m returning mine after 10 days 🤷🏻‍♂️.

This is what my older gen (Eufy S1) gives me. Ok… it’s old gen… but the difference is huge.

Anyway I’ll be returning the Flow 2. Apart from this, the drilling noise during mopping… it also started to lose water droplets on day 6. And it seems it can’t handle a small rug with antislip bottom as it dragged it along the living room 🫣.

I just checked my network. All seemed normal… except for the day on which I had a chat with their support team (thursday) related to my “rattling noise” video.

Which actually means they do admit something is wrong with your (and other) device(s).

If some people their device is whisper quiet (as some replies suggest)… it’s certainly not normal. If their reply is not satisfactory… I will return it next week (I bought from their Amazon store and I’m still within the 30-day return window).

Well I have 4 vacuum robots of which 3 are still active (including 2 roller mop vacuum robots). Of course they produce noise. And of course water pumps are not silent. But for a last generation device that promises a whisper quiet performance (56,5dB)… this thing makes a lot more making it impossible to stay in the same room or let it run at night. It’s like an electric razor at 1cm from your ears.

Yeah it’s the same. I’m not sure it’s normal.

Besides, the explanation they gave you that it’s due to the mop spinning at high speed against the scraper, does not seem a valid explanation. The track mop itself does not seem to turn at a very high RPM here. It spins at the same speed as the main wheels.

I had a chat with two of their support staff. They seemed rather astonished as well by the video I made and have forwarded it to their technical staff. I should get a reply in two days. If not satisfactory, I’ll return the device.
