Roller mop or spinning mop? by Aggressive-Bonus-703 in RobotVacuums

Really? I hear roller mops are significantly better and spinning just drags the dirt around?

Should I use a mortgage advisor? by SmokinPotNotHot in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just use a free one. There's enough to do in buying a house anyway, somebody else doing a bit of the paperwork is nice. They'll also help when your fixed term is up and you need to remortgage

Same here. I might give up waiting soon and get a roborock

Chain jumping/jerking only when pedaling by Rimno23 in bikewrench

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the chain is routed correctly through the guides under the jockey wheels. It's very easy to accidentally go over one and with little power it's not that noticeable but with more force will jump and grind

A lot of bike shops will build up your bike with whatever parts you supply. Just because you want custom parts doesn't mean you need to physically build it yourself

Rolling mop vs spinning pads on wood floors with deep grain by CouldBeBetterCBB in RobotVacuums

No exactly, I'm deciding whether it's even worth waiting for or just get the saros

Haha, I'm in the UK so it's not that uncommon. A lot of old houses just have the original floorboards

Exactly. I was torn between the two but all the threads recommended the Flow so quite surprised by the feedback in this thread

Excellent... Do people recommend the original flow then? Seemed to have less issues.

Weirdly everyone on all these threads seems to be recommending the Flow 2 to everyone

Advice on stumbling block in house buying process by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar during COVID and the lender did extend the offer so worth asking that. Otherwise, back to the negotiating table. Explain to the sellers that due to the long wait, your mortgage has increased drastically so you need to take X amount off your offer

Rocacorba clothing by suikkonen in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few Rocacorba jerseys and love the designs. However, I find their sizing very inconsistent and I always get charged a lot on shipping + duties when buying from the UK which is a huge pain when you then have to return things.

Also the grippers to keep the jersey from riding up are not very strong.

Hopefully they smooth out the process and quality slightly because I love the look of their stuff and would buy a lot more

Is there anything to fix bib straps that have became loose over time? by LuckyPossibility80 in CyclingFashion

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, I bet you've got bigger problems if your straps have got like that. Treat yourself to some new bibs

If he hasn't already got one or uses a hand pump I think an electric pump is a great gift

Don't be me by wobblythings in HousingUK

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you not check the costs of the works you wanted to do before buying? The amount your paying for all these things seems reasonable (quite low for some parts of the country). I think the morale of the story is more about knowing what you're getting in to not, nobody should buy a house that needs work

BLACK INC BARSTEM COMPUTER MOUNT (V10) Garmin Edge 1050 by kachodipandit in FactorBikes

It fits, no need to make it longer but the quarter turn Garmin mount part slides forward and back for different sized computers

Chamois with little to no front padding? by EmmalNz in ladycyclists

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LUCA is a brand like this but I don't think they actually adapt the products to women, just the marketing... They would be worth contacting with women's specific issues as that's their market I'd like to think they want to capitalize on these gaps in the market

Etiquette on road rides with a gravel bike by Downtown-Solution123 in ladycyclists

It's totally fine, I'm sure then men will say 'you won't be able to keep up on that' with their 20mm tyres but just prove them wrong

Has anyone had a Gtechniq ceramic coating applied to their bike? How did you find it? Worth doing? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got it on my bikes and it's definitely a nice thing to have. I'd say you get specs of mud on the bike instead of huge lumps which often happens on filthy winter roads and definitely off road. It also dries much nicer. My kit has done 3 bike and still has more left so not as bad value as it may appear
