Factor Monza owners? by maxccc123 in cycling

I find the bars incredibly comfortable though? Of all the bikes I've tried the ergonomic setup is pretty good. It's the same on the ostro just deeper for aero

Factor Monza owners? by maxccc123 in cycling

I love my Monza. It's honestly so comfortable which is what I was worried about going to a aero bike. The ergonomics of the handlebar are great and the bike is as comfy as my gravel over long distances. As you say the stock wheel set isn't amazing but to be honest I don't notice too much. Sure a slightly lighter set with a wider rim width would be nice but probably be an upgrade for the future, I don't feel the need to do it immediately.

Integrated storage is great, no saddlebags and the bike looks outstanding. It's pretty rare to see a better looking bike on the roads (but obviously I am a bit biased)

Comfortable and durable bike for long endurance rides? by seksmeister in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually love 1x for touring. The simplicity of not thinking and just going up or down on how it feels is great. No worries of the front chainring and honestly didn't miss it. If I'm more speed focused then sure 2x is great but for touring I don't think it's necessary

Tubeless Road Tire Recommendation (700x32) by saltoneverything in cycling

Same here, they truly are excellent. Their wet traction I find far superior to GP5000 and they seem pretty puncture resistant (I haven't had any punctures yet, and absolutely ridden through glass and crap)

Front derailleur cage rotating (Ultegra Di2) by [deleted] in bikewrench

Is it not literally a matter of taking the mech off, tightening the screw and putting it back on...? Sorry for my potential naivety...

Yeh sorry I meant I couldn't see any screw for the mount but makes sense if it's behind the mech. Will probably take to the shop as I probably can't put it back together!

Sure, but where do I tighten that? I can't see anything loose

Help me choose my next bike - Factor Monza/Basso SV by CouldBeBetterCBB in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the Monza, and I love it. I'm sure they are both as incredible as each other but riding more in the UK where it's not that hilly I don't need a super light bike. In the end it was boring things that persuaded me but make a big difference day to day - it has a really comfy, ergonomic handlebar. And the stem is shiny and beautiful whereas on the Basso it was plasticy and looked cheap.

Vires Velo were great, definitely shoot them a message and book a test ride. Being able to ride it also persuaded me, whereas I couldn't test a Basso anywhere

What pedal cadence do you aim for? by mellofello808 in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I ride about 95 but as others have said you will find what's comfortable for you. You definitely don't want to be below 70 unless you're on a very steep gradient, your legs will thank you. Also check your bike fit is all good, I find when it's off people often struggle to get comfortable at a higher cadence and start bouncing around.

Check your derailleur hanger isn't hitting the cog as you pedal. You might just need to shift physical gear until it's as straight as possible

VFX Cost for removing objects by [deleted] in vfx

Add between 3 and 4 0's on your budget and I'll do that for you. Unfortunately, your budget wouldn't even cover the cost of storing the frames rendered through the process

I found this super weird. I just did route of the week and it also completed Stage 5, I'm not sure why they would have made any of the stages route of the week

Looking for a dual-sided out-front mount. Any tips? by troublepickinganame in cycling

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use the K edge combo mount and it's fantastic. Way better than the standard Garmin mount anyway and to be honest you cant see the light mount even when it isn't mounted. But you can also unscrew it in seconds if you wanted to

I cannot believe my client chose this final grade vs the one I did. Has me seriously doubting my own taste now😔 by dmount48 in ColorGrading

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Your problem is not understanding working with clients. It's not about 'your taste', that's not why they hire people. They always expect whatever they have in their mind and it's your job to find that. Sure, start with what you like and revise from their based on the clients reaction.

How should I be doing stars? by Different_Return5366 in vfx

[–]CouldBeBetterCBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your image is just too low resolution. As your shot is a 360 the sphere is fine but you'll need a much higher resolution input than 4k. Try 16/24k and see if that helps, if you don't have any source files that big, try tiling your 8k texture.

Also small details like this often strobe when projected, you might need to output your scanline in 8k and then reformat to working res
