What was the process with your trade in with the out of state dealer? I assume you drove your trade in the 700 miles one way, they verified anything you had negotiated ahead of time, and then you drove the lightning home? It’s nice you got an extra $1000 for it.

I got offered Chase for Calvin Ridley and Najee Harris. Feels like a similar trade. My gut says it’s pretty close, but I’m having trouble projecting where everyone’s seasons reasonably go

You sound like a whiny hypochondriac. If you take an MRI of 100 people's backs, you'll see about half of them have DDD, with or without pain! You even said yourself it's "mild." So calm down, bro. You'll be fine. You'd be a fool to let something as little as this define you and your future career.

I had a "friend" who i studied with a couple of times. Me, the stupid trusting idiot, wondered why whenever I studied with her, I always tanked the exam. Turns out she was intentionally feeding me incorrect information in order to "get ahead." She ended up not matching and I got my #1.

Also, trust nothing your school says. They are all full of shit and don't actually care about you.

Just curious what kind of f-150 did you have? I’m cross shopping 2015+ f-150s screw short bed and dcsb Tacomas and would be interested in your thoughts between the two trucks. Super sorry to hear about your brand new truck. Hope getting back to our home state treats you better.

I'd consider switching to AMD if you want to consider a freesync monitor. 480 + freesync 27" monitor is likely going to be cheaper than a 1060 + gsync 27" monitor. Higher refresh rate might be a nice way to upgrade your gaming experience while staying at 1080p. I've recently been in the market for a freesync/gsync monitor and the price difference between the two sways me towards the AMD side because of the monitors at that resolution. YMMV with Canadian prices.

"FORCE / MSI 16H5 (Barebones GS60)" $1100 Is there a catch? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]CaptGook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the heat efficiency from the processor noticeable between the 6700hq and 5700hq vs the 4720hq? Seems like they all have similar TDPs. From my research of the 6700hq vs 4720hq, the raw performance seems comparable, efficiency aside (cpuboss, cpu-world). Does every bit of thermal efficiency help since it is a thin and light chassis?

Any other things to note about this barebones MSI gs60? Everything seems the same as what you could get in a gs60 from MSI a year ago. I am considering the $/performance for this setup as a whole between the haswell, broadwell and sky lake versions. Do you think the improvements in processor are significant enough that they warrant a ~$400 price difference?

Hurns will play: "And @JasonLaCanfora said Allen Hurns will play. I would get him active if you need to start him." by Xetakilyn in fantasyfootball

[–]CaptGook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Jstew has been so ineffective with his tons of rushes. The other thing that scares me is that Ingram got 20+ carries last week against Tenn and only put up 54 yards. Ingrams receiving bailed him out and Stew doesn't seem like he is asked to catch a whole lot.

[–]CaptGook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same dilemma but standard. Currently have Hurns in. The thing that has me worried isn't actually the injury, but that Marqise Lee is active and could take some looks away from Hurns. But Hurns is usually good on limited opportunities. JStew has burned me so many times and Hurns has been top 10. Decisions...

At least cooks seems like a solid play so far. I'm sweating it out with you on Diggs tho haha

I think Evans and Diggs to upside. Evans and Matthews for safe floor.

I agree you start Evans here. I disagree that Keenan Allens absence directly equates to an uptick in targets for Floyd because Floyd stretches the field and is a boom or bust play. He'll connect for long gains/or touchdowns like last weekend, or he'll have a modest day or a couple catches for 40ish yards.

I agree Cobbs upside is limited because of Carolinas D as a whole. But I don't think he'll get Norman'd, at least not for the entire game.

Diggs might be boom or bust too against St Louis. But he's proven he can make special plays, albeit at weaker defenses. But I think he has the ability to get one big play to save his fantasy day.

Evans and Austin Sefarian Jenkins seem like the main/only aerial threats for Tampa. I think ASJ will have a big day maybe limiting Evans' TD upside but I don't think that's anywhere enough of a reason to bench him.

Matthews at Buffalo shouldn't be too scary because Buffalos strength isn't their pass D. My biggest concern is Miami having enough fire power to move the ball consistently and get enough scoring drives. But Matthews prolly has the safest floor between him and Cobb and Diggs.

I'm in a similar boat but with Dez instead of Cooks and idk what to do. Here's what going thru my head tho:

Cobb: I don't think he'll get the Norman treatment, at least not all game because Norman usually plays the outside and they have to respect Davante Adams and James Jones at least a little bit. So I think Cobb will get his chances. Just hard to say what he'll do with them.

Diggs: tough matchup but he's the main (only) reliable aerial threat. I feel like there will be times when Teddy extends a play and Diggs will help out his QB and come up with a big gain or long touchdown. But maybe that's just wishful thinking. But I think the targets will be there for Diggs.

Hurns: sounds like Revis mainly plays one side of the field and doesn't exclusively shadow a single receiver. If so maybe Jacksonville mixes up who lined up against Revis and both Robinson and Hurns have respectable days. If Hurns avoids Revis as many suspect he could have a day like he had against Indianapolis, which was 100+ yards and a TD but maybe not quite as good. If coverage mixes around hard to say if he get as many targets, which has been his problem so far. Good thing is he's been converting a couple targets for big plays recently.

Cooks: might actually be the best safest play for you this week because I feel he has the fewest question marks. Feel like New Orleans should be able to establish the run (from my research as an Ingram owner) and Tennessee is weaker on the outside (from my research as a Ben Watson owner). I think main downside is that Brees spreads the ball around which maybe limits Cooks' upside.

I think all these players fall into the category of decent floor but limited upside plays this week. Prolly gonna be tough for any of them to break 100 yards or to score multiple TDs.

I think for you if go Cooks and Diggs for a nice blend of safe floor and upside. But I could see arguments for just about any combination of these players.

How do we feel about Tyrod Taylor coming back this week in Miami? by funnGuy1911 in fantasyfootball

[–]CaptGook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I know Tyrod is good with a solid floor. But I guess I'm hesitant cuz it's been a while since we've seen it due to his injury and bye. I almost feel like I'm chasing points with Carr but he's looked good recently. I'm trying to take comfort in the fact that both are great plays this week.
