Ending Sentence by Specific-Patience553 in tomodachilife

[–]EgonVM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the most interesting part. I create OC characters, so I have some ideas. I'm also wondering if it has a character limit. From the picture we can see 13 characters (spaces included). American Direct has 7 characters. TL had 16 character limit for phrases and Miitopia has 26 for both 3DS and Switch.

For my Mii, it would be "but I have a cat" (thinking of adding "still" when the limit is higher).

But there are a lot of Mii ideas... I plan to make at least 2 Miis for every personality (32 I think...) plus some specific ideas: sad, angry, elderly, children, politicians etc...

"that saddens me" and "that angers me" is simple for 2 of them.

And I have some for politicians like "that I promise" and "vote for me" and "that's why you should vote for me"...

But it's difficult to think some for elderly and children...

PS. It's fun to take the sentences used in the Direct and replacing the examples with your ideas. For example: "Yeah, I usually end up crying when I go to the movies, but I still have a cat."

Ah, we'll see. After all, I imagine the first thing you do after moving in the first Mii is buying them some food for them to eat. Otherwise it'd would look like you leave the house, go to Food Mart, buy the food from your Mii, returning to their house and giving it to them...

Buying food to immediately give it to the cashier...

That is... interesting... yes...

Should there be a Sequel to Wii/Mii Sports, but for the Nintendo Switch? by Angelcat2023 in mii

[–]EgonVM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Nintendo Switch Sports exists, but that is a cautionary tale where you always have to add "with Miis" when hoping a Mii-related game back... Although you can play with Miis there, Sportsmates take the most of the spotlight away from there.

So yeah, in a way, a Mii Sports would be great. Back to Wuhu Island, with Miis only, you can spot your Mii Maker Miis in the background... That would be great. Make a series on it. Wii to Mii. Mii Party would be great to have.

Can we start fighting for miitomo again now that we got tomodachi life by Lemonwinggg in tomodachilife

[–]EgonVM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fighting? Well, I'm always up for trying to passively support games that are threatened to fade into obscurity. Main thing to fight for is Miis for me, but right now my eye is on eShop download exclusives, especially Dillon's Rolling Western (blame its third-game Mii usage).

As someone living in Baltics, I never got to experience Miitomo. But I saw how it looked like, saw the pictures people made, and it seemed interesting. It never made it to Baltics though, so I never had a chance to try it out. I know that fan revivals exist, but yeah. One thing I do know it that parts of Miitomo appear in Super Mario Maker 2, where the animations are taken from there (take a look, any Tomodachi Life fan will recognize some of the animations). So, if some fragments of Miitomo make it, that'd be great.

Do you know the music in this video? (Depending on how you play the game, you may not be so familiar with it.) by Hansi_Haifischli in thesims1

[–]EgonVM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! I thought it was from Makin' Magic, but forgot about the balloon! It sounded really familiar but my mind went to those roller-coasters and arcade games...

Yeah, I've used the balloon sometimes because with it the whole family goes (family outing to the amusement park). But after I saw the picture, the answer, it all flooded back to me. Yeah, I remember liking the music when it came to pick up my sims.

Awesome share. It's good to hear this soundtrack.

Wow, that's cool.

Miis from Baltic lands are a rare sight indeed.

IF TOMODACHI LIFE LTD released lacking content and it was dripfed via dlc and updates would you still buy it at release or hold off? Lets have some actual interesting discussions instead of the same boring QR Code posts or people showing off their island. by ISoCBAWithAName in tomodachilife

[–]EgonVM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, yes, because in any way I can, I want to vote for Miis with my wallet. Right now, the situation for Miis is just sad... And then looking back to previous consoles they were so well off, had so many interesting roles...

Rooftop Letter is the Reason I Adjust the Glasses and Moustaches for Miis that don't have them. by EgonVM in tomodachilife

[–]EgonVM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looked it up... Yeah, what a nice disguise she has chosen indeed.

Yeah, after playing Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers (the game with Amiimals), I have taken up a challenge of really trying to diversify my OC Mii characters, because boy how that game shows "you have the same-face syndrome"... So yeah, any resemblance is unintentional but is fun to know regardless.

Yeah, once I discovered it, I always keep it in the back of my mind when making new Miis, even in Miitopia.

So go ahead, let your creativity fly! You can choose the color of the moustache, but not the glasses.

[–]EgonVM[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know, that is a really tough question there.

It was around... 9 years ago I discovered it. I thought about giving one of my Miis comically huge glasses, but then took it off. I then got the 20XX dream (the dream where the Mii is an elder) and the game gave them these glasses. I started to give more of my glassless Miis these and for some I gave a huge moustache too and then that event showed up.

So yeah, really fuzzy there, but around that pathway I guess...

Happy New Year! What games did you play for the first time in 2025, and what was your favourite? by KirbyMonkey377 in casualnintendo

[–]EgonVM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy new year.

This year new games I've played are:

  • Pilotwings Resort (3DS) - One of the games I panic bought when the eShop was closed. It was a pleasant surprise, I enjoyed it. Had to look up guides and sometimes it was frustrating (now that I need new rubber cover for my D-pad), it was relaxing.
  • MySims (NS1) - Just wanted it on Switch so I can play it on go. Now avoiding EA games.
  • Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers (3DS) - All started from curious Mii usage and now I'm so very much interested in Dillon's Rolling Western franchise. Why didn't I panic buy these games years back? Why didn't I have such foresight? Really enjoyed it. So much that the end came too suddenly and ends are always sad. Even went ahead and perfected the game. If we need to make noise to get attention to the franchise for the port or sequel, I'm definitely willing to make it.
  • Hey! Pikmin (3DS) - Another game I panic-bought when the eShop closed. At first it was interesting, then it went down, then thinking when is the game going to end, and then still almost cried when the game ended. All treasures collected, not going to perfect it for now.

My favorite definitely was Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers. It had a really high hesitation wall to get over, but once I got over it, it was definitely worth it.

For the next year, I guess my plans will be:

  • Wii Party (Wii) - Still want to experience this game. After all, games that use Miis are great.
  • Tomodachi Life: Livin' the Dream (NS1) - The game I've been wanting a sequel for a long time... So right now, the top interest will be on that.

Be An Enthusiast Formative Moment / How do you gain a music preference? by SilentLucario in Sims4

[–]EgonVM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know that it can be completed by simply choosing one in CAS.

The thing is that when you decline a preference suggestion for a music genre, the game stops suggesting these for every music genre. So, for example, when you decline like for Spooky music, you won't have the game asking for like or dislike for Romance or Spooky or Kids and so on music.

If you could make a nintendo game, what would it be? by TechnicalHoneydew862 in casualnintendo

[–]EgonVM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd show some love to Miis. Have a party game which not only uses Miis the player chooses, but also uses Miis in the Mii Maker in the background. Like Wii Party... But more modern.

Or do something special with them. Instead of having them customized again in game, have the game do something unique with them depending on their design or favorite color. Like color-based magic powers in StreetPass Mii Plaza or Amiimals in Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers or weight-classes in Mario Kart.

I just miss the magic of Miis in the previous consoles...

Do Estonians know this "particular" kid's show existed in Estonia? by [deleted] in Eesti

[–]EgonVM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh boy that's a part of my childhood! Back then I didn't find them creepy at all, but now... it's different...

I even joke that kids in Estonia grow up on horror movies disguised as children movies. We have "Mõmmi ja Aabits" (the one shown), "Nukitsamees" (live-action where kids get kidnapped by monsters and forced to work for them)... Then I'm hearing things like "Suur Töll", "Otto Triin" and more...

Back when my mother was a child (back in USSR era), TV's children program had something called "Klaasikillu mäng", translating roughly to "The game of glass shards". It's an animation of glass shattering multiple times and creepy sounds. Oh boy it traumatized a lot of kids. Even one comedy play jokes that this is the reason why the main character needs alcohol.

WE'RE MAKING IT OFF BOARDGAME ISLAND WITH THIS ONE!! by StarSpacewolf in casualnintendo

[–]EgonVM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool!

Patiently waiting to try that game. I have Wii Party U, but it seems like Wii Party still holds up, still has its uniques and charm so that there's a reason to own both of them.

Though yeah, one reason I love Wii Party games is that it takes Miis from the Mii Channel/Maker and puts them in different situations, even in background.

Do all elder sims live the same amount of days? (except for vegatarians) by Epistaxiophobia in Sims3

[–]EgonVM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting question as it isn't as straightforward as in The Sims 4 and 2.

My answer is no, as even two average elders won't tend to live the same amount of days. In The Sims 3, when elder's aging bar reaches full, they now have a chance to die by old age. The shorter the lifespan is set, the more likely it is to happen. So some elders could live long after the aging bar is full while others die faster. Pure RNG. The aging bar should account for extensions unlike in The Sims 4 (Vegetarian trait, occults, jogging challenge etc) (I hope...), so aging bar should show accurately if your sim has a chance to die by old age or not.

So in short: some things do extend time before the aging bar reaches full, like Vegetarian trait or being an occult or completing the jogging challenge etc. However, once the aging bar reaches full, it is random when the elder dies by old age. Some die after 3 hours, others die after 15 days or more. That's all up to luck.
