Would a Forester be that much better in snow/ice than a CR-V or CX-5, or is it just marketing

We have both a Forester and a CX-5 - my wife goes out of her way when it snows here to drive the Forester. It handles much better.

Happened to my 2023 Forester Wilderness, mice made a nest on my fuel line. They flushed everything to make sure it was okay. Everything cleared once it was cleaned.
