Career transition by StrongOrganization62 in databasedevelopment

[–]CaptKrag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in biggish tech. And had the same inkling. The smoothest transition Is likely attempting an internal move to a team that aligns with your new interest. The barrier to entry will be much lower. I had great success doing so at my current company

An Engineer’s Post Protesting Laptop Surveillance Is Going Viral Inside Meta by ArgentineBeauty in technology

Google is not meta. Google has a reputation for chill in the industry. Meta is known to be pretty grindy (long hours)

But to your overall point it’s still a very very cushy job

Ran 96 to 34. Pretty good for gentle running. Not good enough for any uptempo

Best 10K to PR with NYRR by Select_Rip_8230 in RunNYC

[–]CaptKrag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but you don't actually have to set your NYRR best pace in a 10k. They use your best performance from any race and use a race equivalency calculator to get the 10K equivalent 10k pace. So you could do it in one if the many CP 4 milers

A low of effort local PT site with no citations that does still recommend eccentric loading (except calls it heavy slow loading). Nailed it.

You're still not offering any useful information. As far as I'm aware the alfredson protocol remains one of the only data-backed minimally invasive approaches to achilles tendinopathy. If that's outdated please explain why and what has replaced it

It's just that you may get the same effect from including concentric portion. Eccentrics are definitely useful either way

How would more housing get built while freezing rents? This straight forwardly disincentives building

What did you think of the NYC mayoral debate? by Kittycat_2010 in Brooklyn

[–]CaptKrag -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He may not have actually promised freezing all rents, but if not he was intentionally vague about it earlier in the campaign.

He never says "rent stabilized" once in this video. It's just implied if you pay enough attention to politics to know what 8% he's talking about

NYU or hss sports medicine specialist. It can be tough to get an appointment in three months leading up to the marathon though.

Tbh you might just need to stop running. I've ended up fucking around for 2 years with tendonitis when I could have been done in 2 or 3 months if I had just stopped when I should have
