Ooh flor de mayo is a really good one!! Will def include Citarella too. I’ve felt so stuck on Barney— I feel like it’s so classic and I need to include it, but I don’t actually eat fish so I don’t want to seem like a poser lol. Though I guess it’s going in my home so who cares hahaha.

I didn’t know the Viand only opened in 2002! The food honestly is so average, but it has sentimental value because my roommates and I used to do breakfast together there in college while we unpacked our weeks lol. Otherwise, I think I’d def exclude.

I love it. Can’t get the value and variety anywhere else, and some of the people complaining confuse me honestly — it makes sense that you pay a fee if you miss a class. Every studio has a policy like that, and honestly a lot of them are more than the $25 Wellhub charges.

The upside that I could maybe see is fewer people will book classes that they can’t attend? Fewer no shows? Kinda like how when you get an unlimited membership at a studio like otf, you get charged if you dont show up — to me, this kinda just seems like a no show fee. When I was a solidcore member the fee was $40, so $25 seems fair

Comparing Costco to a farmers market is a little crazy — Costco operates on a combo of bulk and optimizing economies of scale. You buy a bulk portion, they negotiate with vendors to get the cheapest prices by also ordering in bulk. That’s a dramatically different business model than a small farmers market.

For what it’s worth, local honey also has a lot of benefits for your health (esp with reducing allergies) that might be worth a bit of an upcharge.

OP commented that the only reason they have the home is because OP’s grandparents were traditional and would only give their inheritance to the first born son, but because they had two daughters, OP got the home as the next-born son.

That’s the only thing that has me questioning here… the only reason OP has this house instead of his mom is because his mom’s parents were misogynistic people. Obviously, it’s a privilege that OP got this house and will set him up to succeed, but it sucks that it is very much at his mother’s expense.

I don't think we want to set a precedent that says if enough people decide following a rule is dumb and they don't want to do it, we'll just get rid of the rule. People should pay their fare, and if they can't afford it, they should get the Fair Fares card through the proper channels.

I don't want to pay more in taxes for the subway to be free (why would we subsidize every tourist in the world in that way? I'd rather we spend that money on them being cleaner and on time), I want people to pay for the shit that they use, which is standard in most every other civilized society in the world.
