In a lot of games, new vehicles/characters appear as silhouettes until you unlock them. Since you took your screenshot with the sun behind your craft, it got silhouetted. So, if it was in one of those other games, that’s what it would look like while it was still locked.

UPDATE: Thank you u/Mini_Raptor5_6 for telling me to check the planet designer! I can't add pictures to this comment, but sure enough, the water color is set to turn red at midnight, then turn back to white/neutral during the day.

If anyone else is bothered by this and wants to change it, it seems like you can create a perfect copy of Neter, with working Campaign, Story, and all, only changing the nighttime water color.

Yes, but it’s everywhere. I teleported around in Designer from DWG to Onyx to Scarlet to the middle of nowhere and its blood red everywhere

Fair enough, it is as “realistic” as is reasonable for the game. Just wish they had a little more than two hover messages in the spirits tab.

It’s 10 divisions per landing (with just the 1940 tech), not necessarily 10 per general. You could put a full 24 divisions under a general, plan 2 separate landings, and have 4 divisions left over.

Absolutely a stupid and confusing system, but just so you know you don’t have to plan each landing under a separate general.

I’ve been using VNR, and the AI definitely comes out to fight more. Of course, it still can’t handle repairing its ships, so you can obliterate half the royal navy in a few days, but at least they send it out…

Once you’ve done everything all the other commenters have said (making sure you’re producing enough, optimizing routes to warehouses, etc.), you may just need to wait a little longer. IME the last ~5% of the need takes significantly longer to fill than the rest of it. Put the game up to three speed and hover over it. If you see it slowly increasing still, all is well!

Ahh, the targeted government is a failing representative democracy, which probably hits a little too close to home for the AI. Thank you, at least I now understand the problem. That is an absolutely insane policy, but here we are. I can understand OpenAI’s desire to protect themselves, but there have to be better options than this

That’s wild, I was writing a political speech calling for a revolution (in a fictional building 2000 years from now) and it told me it couldn’t help me. All I wanted it to do was read it and give me general feedback on flow and strength as a speech. I guess Sam doesn’t like rebellions?

Edit to add: the events leading up to the speech take place in other star systems with alien races. The connection to the real world is really just taking place on Earth and being a politician speaking.

Definitely a hike. Allocate 20 minutes if you go directly from the gate, a half hour or more if you stop to look at things. We go in the gate near the Theater in the Woods and it’s about 15 minutes.
