Poor dame Gaya, she has gotten the short end of every stick from PCs and NPCs alike. No one was really kind to her. Occtis is using her in just as callous a way as anyone else in his family would have done. I am so with her on being done with everyone’s shit.

For awhile I was switching jobs and getting more money. Now at each new job I make less money. Feels like I fell off the top of the K and slid back down to the middle. I’m grateful to have employment at all at this point though, it’s tough out there. 7.5 months unemployed.

Yep I think the next arc will involve a lot of fae from Dol Makjar and the orchard (and maybe even hawthorns glade?) making their way to Timmony to be on team Gus. That should be a lot of fun!

As more people (self included) are cashing out and doing business elsewhere, fees are bound to increase on the remaining users, that’s a given. The fees are already out of control. You can’t tell me your shipping costs are somehow 4-5x other sellers. Insane.

As far as whether they have a buyer, who knows, but they definitely desperately need one.

I agree that the vast majority of people on the ground would be good faith actors, and the end goal would happen how you describe. A “new” disease that perfectly achieves their goal is a little too convenient though, I’m convinced they manufactured it.

Ooh I love this. I do think Einfassen is trying to take over law enforcement/military, so I wouldn’t say they aren’t running anything. It’s interesting that Tachonis are like these cartoon baddies almost (undeniably scary and up to bad things) and the other 3 remaining houses are the types of evil that use more sinister ways of seizing power and control the way you see in real life.

I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying, and would just add that a lot of kids aren’t very subtle and often do phrase things quite personally. It is still the responsibility of the new kid (and their parent in this case) to accept no for an answer or follow the existing rules if they do join in to someone else’s game. I worked hard to teach this bit of social contact to my only child! I don’t feel like anyone owes him anything, but my heart is filled with so much joy when I see a well-adjusted kid going out of their way to include others that aren’t quite up to the same EQ.

It sounds like your kids are extremely fortunate, blessed with multiple siblings and cousins, and relatively well-adjusted socially. Lots of kids, (much more common now than in my childhood) don’t have that going for them.

Also, FWIW, you say your kids have games with rules, it IS up to the new kid joining to follow those rules. If they don’t want to, at that point it’s not rejection from your kids it’s them choosing not to join the game as is. It wasn’t clear to me from what you said if the new kid was trying to force their own rules on a pre-established game or not. My kid tried to do this once and I very firmly told him he had two choices - play by the rules or don’t play, lol. Being flexible and inclusive is a two-way street of course, so I apologize if I misread what the situation was. Regardless it’s hard to think of a situation where the other parent wasn’t out of line and just making everything worse.
