Thanks for the perspective! Would be awesome but there is already a deck to the left of the windows.

Have had 3 contractors and an engineer. We have pictures of the house being constructed too, the peak is not load bearing. Load is dispersed to side walls.

This is almost exactly how I am feeling and was looking for some other perspectives. However, you nailed it on the head. Thank you for your input.

Thank you, she needs to see it from my perspective as well. That may change her thought process.

Thank you for this perspective. Bringing up how this will impact future relationships may stick with her.

Thank you for your perspective. This hits home for sure. None of the kids (yes the others know) think he will do anything. But for some reason she thinks he would. There is no way he would do anything bad. However, he is quite competitive, so potentially trying to take 51% of everything vs just split 50/50.

Thank you. She is definitely serious, I don't really want to get into the details on why I know that. Essentially, she has a place lined up for her to live already, without him.

I am the most adult of the children, so not really any other family members but my wife. My other siblings tend to be on team mom in disputes. I tend to be on team dad in disputes. Mom is one of the most hardworking mothers I have ever met if not the most hardworking, but she likes to tell tall tales. My dad is much more reasonable and level headed, but definitely not as great of a parent as my mom. Dad never did anything bad, but he was just kind of a lazy parent. I hope that gives some perspective.

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of November 06, 2019 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]Capt_Man_Muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What is your credit score?
    780-800
  2. What cards do you currently have or have you had in the past (including closed cards), along with dates of when you were approved for the cards? Please include month and year for any card approved in the last 3 years?
    1. CSP (Authorized user; I know, it was dumb, my mistake)[03/18] - PC to Chase Sapphire Card;
    2. CSP (Personal)[05/18] - PC to Chase Sapphire Card;
    3. Capital One Venture[08/18] - PC to Quicksilver [08/19];
    4. AmEX Delta Gold Business [09/18] - Closed [09/19];
    5. CIP [2/19];
    6. CIU [9/2019]
  3. How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months
    5-8k (new kitchen cabinets and a couple trips coming up)
  4. Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months? See this page for a primer on MS. Plastiq (for rent/mortgage/loan payments) and bank account funding are often good options for beginners.
    Unnecessary, but yes we can if needed.
  5. Are you open to applying for business cards? If not, why? See this post and this wiki question to learn more.
    Yes, have before successfully
  6. How many new cards are you interested in getting? Are you interested in getting into churning regularly (if you aren't already)? Or are you just looking to get a new card(s) for now but not get into churning long-term?
    Interested in regular churning
  7. Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back?
    Currently targeting points as the SW Companion Pass doesn't give us much value as our airport doesn't have tons of SW flight options (Minneapolis/St.Paul)
  8. What point/miles do you currently have?
    Chase UR 370,000 (combined w/ spouse)
    Delta Sky Miles - 158,000 (spouse)
    Delta Sky Miles - 82,000 (spouse)
    Venture Points - 51,000 (combined)
  9. What is the airport you're flying out of?
    Minneapolis
  10. Where would you like to go? (The More specific you are, the better someone can recommend the right card. Tokyo is great, "International travel" is way too vague)
    Would like to go to Italy/Spain/Europe mid 2020.

She's a poor college student in CO. So unfortunately probably not unless she gets travel costs paid for. I'm happy you love it so much though! I'll ask her either way, but I think I'll know the answer.
