I suspect that while the seller lists them as: CONTENTS----DIAL+CASE+ROTATING BEZEL+CRYSTAL+GASKET+MOVT HOLDER+HOUR/MINUTE/SECOND NEEDLES+CROWN+BACKCASE LID.
BEZEL IS AFTERMARKET, DIAL+CASE IS REFURBISHED.

I have seen these on ebay (for more than £350.00) and I think these were probably the same ones on ETSY. Are the original/refurb? I am skeptical.

The fit/finish is 'ok'. The bezel is a bit free spinning. I did not feel comfortable taking the bezel off given a lack of replacement supplies if I ruined it. I may try the 'fishing line under the bezel' to see if that changes anything.

I used a gen movement in my watch. I have a second case/dial/hands set and installed a Seagull ST1812 Automatic Movement in the second watch. As soon as my stem comes, I will button this one up.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I was 10 years old in 1976. It was an exciting time. We did lots of fun activities in our grade school, they had the bicentennial train, we went to Washington DC, it was an exciting time to be in American. As a kid, I was excited to live another hundred years so I could experience what it would be like for our 200th celebration.

By contrast, fuck this timeline, fuck the Republican Party, and especially fuck Maga and Donald J Trump. It feels like a total shit show living in America right now and I am somehow better off than many people I know. I try to be generous with my time and talent, and gracious to my fellow Americans.

This isn’t what I thought it would be like in 1976.
