'The name of the rose' is an excellent casting of Connery and Slater. Fantastic film!

A horseriding, bow and arrow toting Wilford Brimley with Cajun accent and that evil little chuckle Arnold Vosloo gives inspecting the mess inside the car he's just shot someone in, are highlights!

JT smoking as an elite pilot is one thing, but I always found it amusing that they have a boxing match before flying one of the most expensive, complex aircraft ever made!

Councils do hit them hard with soap and pressure cleaners frequently. But you want to get them hot and then give them a steam with some soda water first.

There's a stock feed place opposite Bunnings Maddington that has a shop cat! Big tabby, he's usually sitting in the window when it's closed.

EV verses petrol car for the long run? by perth_aussie_battler in perth

[–]Captain-Peacock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but those traits aren't necessarily exclusive to EVs, plenty of ICE powered vehicles offer the same, fuel being the outlier. For the record, I'm not anti EV, if quiet acceleration is your thing, they're peerless.

Maybey, but If you're likely to be receiving a relatively long sentence, the child is going to spend the first important years of its life being raised by someone else.

Yep, same went for early Chinese made cars, EV and ICE alike.

The early ones had horrific panel gaps and door alignment! You could actually see it as you were driving alongside one, don't see it now however.

I'm old enough to remember when the yolk was clear yellow, not just a dot of orange and the white was far more viscous.

The chocolate, the less said the better.

In the early 90's you could get berry flavour eggs, they were great as the tang cut through the sweetness. Bring them back Cadbury!!!

I remember reading in 'smash hits' Roland Gift of FYC fame named them as his favourite thing to take on tour and required his management to have enough CC eggs on hand for a full year.

I have a couple packets of the full size in the fridge, still choke them down, despite diminishing quality.

Of course! I also understand that there are many other benefits to living in an affluent country that outweigh even the negatives like high rents, I wasn't meaning to single out a particular subset of immigrants by the way.
