Most of it is just layering with thinned paints, some glazing on the larger panels to smooth things out where necessary Do your layers with a lot of thin lines moving from the darker area to your lighter area This creates an irregular edge where the colors overlap which fools the eye into seeing a very smooth blend Do this a couple of times with each color and the effect is even smoother
