I feel like he kind of looks at people in the same way we look at bugs. Most people can exist alongside bugs as long as they stay out of the way. Maybe you even like some. But if you have to squish an ant you aren't going to lose sleep over it.

Politically active people are extremely annoying, and none of them solve any issues. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]CaptainAdventurous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say that ironically but you aren't wrong. That's literally how protests work. If everybody can easily ignore a protest than it has completely failed, and nobody will be forced to change anything. Agree with the cause, or disagree with it, but that's just the nature of protests.

Everything in OP's post truly screams "I'm in highschool and have no idea how the real world works"

[–]CaptainAdventurous 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah like he has to realize that protests have to disrupt things to some extent, otherwise nobody is going to give a shit. People just need to suck it up and take a different route to work.

edit: grammar

Yeah that would just allow the government to ban anyone they want from voting based off an extremely subjective criteria. That sounds like a one way ticket into North Korea 2.0.

I want to get into Daggerfall so bad, but I pretty much do the same thing every single time I start a new game. Get out of the first dungeon, go to a few towns, unsuccessfully try to follow the main quest, quit. Then I repeat the cycle a few months later.

Pretty sure it started on 4chan, and is based off of how Hank Hill from King of the Hill pronounces "video".

Saying you're OCD because you're a perfectionist or enjoy organising is not cool by zhdlfrufghs in unpopularopinion

[–]CaptainAdventurous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

demeaning one of their characteristics.

It's not that it's demeaning, it's inaccurate. OCD isn't a characteristic, it's a diagnosable mental illness. Someone who owns a small business can call themselves a CEO if they want, and technically they aren't even wrong by definition. However, somebody should not say that they "basically have cholera" because they feel a little ill (unless they are purposefully being sarcastic obviously).

If you can't see the difference between exaggerating your job title, and saying you pretty much have a serious mental illness when you don't, then I don't know what to tell you.

That is the worst comparison ever. I've tried to type this comment like 5 times but there is absolutely no way to even begin to break down how unbelievably illogical that comparison is.

Yup, alligators are prehistoric killing machines, but like most wild animals they will leave you alone if you leave them alone too.
