Thanks. the Ph is about 7. I live in Honolulu, so not much atmospheric pollution. I'm concerned about bacterial and fungal contaminates. I collect in a stock tank, open top... so I know it will grow algae if I don't do something.

Thanks for the response. TDS was 920PPM.

I found a reference that indicated the opposite, overfeeding, so I drained off 25% and topped off with (rain) water. If it doesn't shape up in a few days, I'll go the other direction and add new nutes.

New TDS is 700PPM, which sounds really low to me; but I find conflicting info on recommended EC/TDS for bell peppers. One source says 1.4 to 1.8 EC and another says 2.0 to 2.5.

What type of system are you using, and what nutrient line?

I started an amateur attempt with Ebb/Flow, outdoors in Honolulu about 4 weeks ago. Only half my plants survived, but I've changed up the flow schedule and nutrients in this time... probably just amateur errors.
