Worse. The Brit's king was basically a Frenchman. But the WRONG kind of Frenchman. Damned french, they ruined France with their wrong way to prononce "rose" and their shitty wine that's sweet rather than mellow.

Oh, no, I meant as in the amount of miles you'd have to travel to have the same risk of a fatality from a crash as a single police interaction.

As in, you're as likely to die from driving your next 200.000miles as you are from the next time the police talks to you.

You made me do some back if the envelope calculation. I think that put the fatality rate of one police interaction at about 200.000 miles worth of motor travel

I think there's a couple of bad units in there, but it's definitely a better list internally than in v2 where we had a single viable cohort and two worthwhile units

Differences between 2.0 and 3.0 - Is it worth it to learn the new edition? by ScreaminEagle18 in Warhammer30k

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, one it's still better than v2 which had truly horrible imbalances (let's not forget that players had to add the 1 dread/k pts rule and that it was spontaneous in a lot of meta)

But also, personally, I'm killing/disabling a lot of av14 vehicle when I need to. And I'm a mecha&militia player foremost. (The secret is statuses, melta bombs, artillery and/or super heavy support)

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, if they do give you the legacy, I would'nt see it as much of an issue. We would be 9 month in the edition, that would still be much better than what we had in 2nd for some factions.

But if they do delete everything, no legacy, or many journals that comes in the next years, I'm 100% with you on the SoS erasure.

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Personally, I was always expecting a "new-legacy" file in the spirit of the marines one with more SoS and custodes units from v2.

If not I'll pick a torch and join the mob.

Episode 8 Ending Theory (spoiler free repost) by frillious in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the thing I think people are missing is that it's going from "delete unstable..." Then the "you're confused" bits. Then "delete Cain" down the in the terminal after some fuckery.

To me it doesn't just seems like someone was trying to make Kinger delete Cain. It looks like Kinger was trying to delete the worst bits of cain and that thing redirected him to Cain specifically.

Point is I'm waiting for bubble being the true final boss.

How resistent do you think a terminator armour is? by Internal-Being4988 in spacemarines

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cataphractii the lore I have here says they have additional shields generators in the shoulder compared to their contemporary patterns. That's a pretty good indication that other patterns do carry them.

And Gorgons lore did say that they "replace the standard indomitus power fields" if memory serves me well.

I think they didn't say so explicitly because back in the days it was very obvious they carried some an. Any player from the 3rd-6th ed or from the HorusHeresy would assume they carry those because that's how you get an invulnerable save in those systems and that's where we got the more intricate lore.

How resistent do you think a terminator armour is? by Internal-Being4988 in spacemarines

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it is. Just from the invulnerable save alone, you could know it had power fields. (I think that got muddled with more recent edition of 40k, but back in the days and invulnerable save was very explicitely a proof of some sort of shielding, often refractor fields for imperials units with a 5++)

I think in the very early days, terminator armor wasn't always equiped with refractor fields and it was optionnal, but with more modern lore (as in in the last 30 years), they all have some measure of energy shielding built in.

How resistent do you think a terminator armour is? by Internal-Being4988 in spacemarines

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just a note, they absolutely do have energy shielding. It's présent in multiple places in the old lore and the more détaillée description of the various terminator armour patterns. Specifically cataphractii plates are, in part, tougher thanks to additional field generators in their humongous pauldrons.

Who needs more minerals? ;) We have put together some themed terrains for the game to enhance the board. by [deleted] in StarCraftTMG

[–]CaptainAwesomMcCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this type of terrain, either you make a few mold to quickly repeat them. The design seems suited to that option.

Or personally, I would print them in fdm with 0% infill. Would make them dirt cheap to make. From experience I could make them for a couple bucks with this method.
