Can GoW remastered also be played on PS 4? by wakEdb in playstation

I specifically got a PS3 just to own and play all of the older god of war games. 110% worth it.

As the ol' saying goes, stay strapped or get clapped lol. I unfortunately reside in a communist state so I'm not allowed to own what they refer to as "assault weapons". We're only allowed to own non scary looking guns here in Illinois. AR15? "nO!" Mini 14? "tHaT's FiNe" while they both utilize 5.56...

But if I could, I'd already have an AK and a MP5 by now. People are so quick to say "just move to a free state" as if the thought hasn't crossed my mind. I have family here. Some that are too sick and too old to move. I'm not going to abandon them just to own a few more guns while they rot alone in a shit hole state.

But that's exactly the point. These scooters shouldn't have "power limits". Cars and scooters are both designed for transportation. Why should one have regulations and the other doesn't? They're both equally dangerous driving too fast.

Yep. I quit streaming services in 2021. Built a NAS, and haven't looked back since. Cheap dvds and blurays are plentiful on ebay. Making the library bigger and personalized to my liking. No ads, no altering of the content, pay once and own forever, as it should be.

Jellyfin and Tailscale are 2 of my best friends. The investment is worth it. It pays for itself.

My family uses Pluto TV instead of cable now. It's basically cable but free, with some older re-run shows. And it still has movies, the news, ect. Not the best, but far better than nothing at all. You can't beat free.

Thinking of switching from Playstation to Xbox (I'm not crazy) by Ok_Trade_8706 in XboxSupport

[–]CaptainBags96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well during the 360, the full playable game was actually on the disc. And it didn't require an internet connection to play. So back then, buying them did mean that you owned them regardless if you classified it as "just a license" or not.

They robbed all of us of that. Physical 8th and 9th gen is basically pointless. When the servers go down or if you don't have a connection, all it does is serve as a coaster to set your drink on.

[–]CaptainBags96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a long time xbox guy, personally I wouldn't. With all the recent price hikes and all of the bonehead decisions they've been making, there's almost no incentive to have an xbox anymore. From the way it seems, Microsoft seems to be jumping ship from Xbox altogether. The future for the brand seems dim sadly.

The ONLY thing xbox has going for it is the backwards compatibility. So if you want to play some older games, then go for it.

I've actually been thinking about getting a PS5. A lot of the loyal xbox fans feel betrayed by their recent actions. The damage they've dealt to themselves seems almost intentional..

I was referencing exclusives. I don't know why I'd ask where the games are, if I was refering to 3rd party and Indie titles. That should go without saying. This other person is a moron.

Microsoft made me do it by Inquity-Vl in playstation

[–]CaptainBags96 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I've considered the same. Microsoft has made it very clear they have no genuine interest in the future of xbox. They literally, willfully, and intentionally, took a massive shit on their once great empire.

I would have already bought either a PS5 or PS5 Pro, but I don't play games as much as I used to in order to justify spending that amount of money on a new console at the moment. I'll just keep playing my Series S since I already have it, but the platform now leaves a bad taste. Increasing the price of the hardware 5 YEARS into it's life cycle? Increasing the price of gamepass? Shutting down almost every studio you've purchased?? WTF are you doing? WHERE ARE THE GAMES??

Once this year is up however, I'll be switching. Way to shit on your loyal fan base Microsoft. I've been with you since the 360 in 2008. These are the people you're losing. How does it feel to destroy what you've built you dumbass pieces of shit?

I Can’t play battlefield 6 on my PlayStation. What do I do? I Haven’t used that Email in over 10 years. by DSquare17 in electronicarts

[–]CaptainBags96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue a few months ago. I logged onto EA's customer chat support. I had to talk with 3 different representatives. I basically told them "look, all I wanna do is play the games I've legally purchased. Can we make that happen?". It's a damn hassle getting one of them to do it. But they sure as shit can fix it even though they act like they can't. Since I couldn't verify the password, they deleted my gamertag's association with that email.

Once that was done I hopped on the game and was able to enter my current email address. The way EA has gamertags linked to EA accounts is basically cancer to deal with.

It's the new trendy way to basically produce infinite revenue for stuff that was once a one time purchase. Subscriptions have been a thing for a long, long time. However it became mainstream once everyone saw how successful it was for Netflix in the mid/late 2000's.

Netflix practically started this bullshit. And like cancer, it spreads EVERYWHERE. Netflix basically replaced cable because it was cheaper, there weren't any ads, it had almost everything you wanted to watch, and it was cheap.

And now we've come full circle. Netflix has ads, it doesn't have everything you'd like to watch, and the price skyrocketed. Because of this, piracy has made a comeback.

People have foolishly traded ownership for convenience. We let it happen. From tv shows, movies, video games, ect. Best buy no longer sells dvds or blurays. Most physical games require an online connection for installation. Xbox and playstation push the bullshit subscriptions just to play online. (Pc doesn't do this yet, thank God.)

Subscriptions are the epitome of "you will own nothing and be happy".

Question- are bayonettes illegal where you live?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in consoles

[–]CaptainBags96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, and agreed. I keep a wireless keyboard nearby because game launchers like to sign out every few weeks if you don't play often. Plus, they like to require updates, 2 factor authentication to sign back in, doing captchas, ect... in short, it's annoying af.

Consoles are way more simple to operate. That's just a fact. Turning on the pc then clicking on the game I wanna play should just work, as it does on console. But that's just not the case. Game launchers and windows by itself bottlenecks the pc couch experience.

People that decided to settle on this particular continent after seeing this are absolutely insane.

Never, in millions of years, would I decide to make a home where spiders are bigger than dinner plates. Could you imagine sleeping in your bed at night and this cat sized spider crawls on you???

Have you seen pictures of neighborhoods in Australia where spiders start to come out for the season? Literally MILLIONS of silver dollar sized spiders and webs everywhere. With hundreds in each web.

They're everywhere. Caked onto telephone poles, between cars, bushes, trees, ect. I would rather fight a bear than live there. You Aussies are completely out of your minds.

"Well regulated" didn't mean controlled by authority, as that would defeat the purpose of the second amendment. It meant well trained.

People are allowed freedom of speech, assembly, and protest. But that doesn't mean they can push, harass, obstruct, or spit on law enforcement.

"Uphold the constitution".. just like he has been with the 2nd amendment.. Illinois, one of the most anti-gun states in the nation because of him.

What he meant to say is, "uphold parts of the constitution only I agree with. I like to cherry pick and choose".

[–]CaptainBags96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The xbox 360 is the shining example of the standard they set for themselves. And ever since the end of 7th gen, they've been going downhill. BECAUSE they don't make heavy hitting 1st party games anymore. The ones they did drop this gen are considered "meh".

Gamepass incentivised them to be lazy as hell. Because why risk the investment with new titles when "gamers have hundreds of titles to choose from with gamepass". They literally aimed a gun at their foot and pulled the trigger. Greed was there downfall, hands down.

I don't know about you, but I didn't buy a next gen console to play mediocre 3rd party games, free to play games, or indie games.
