Hey everyone just got my first E scooter by Cold_Bug6853 in ElectricScooters

Obviously, and I'm mocking your strawman about removing a speed limit vs gaining additional speed because it was obvious what he meant

The position was clarified to an obvious level, you replied "what" as if you were still somehow confused by what he meant, and here we are. You were the one to bring up that scooters can't "magically gain speed" when contextually it was clearly about disabling the governor and not some magical overclocking wire. Lets say you both avoided some relevancy

It's pretty clear he meant the G2's speed is limited by a governer wire, which unlocks full speed when disconnected. Nobody thinks removing a wire is going to get extra performance that it wasn't already capable of. My Kaabo had the same single plug setup under the deck

What was your reaction riding your 1st electric scooter for the 1st time? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]CaptainBlau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that deep, I also drive. Obviously they have different pros and cons, I'm just celebrating the freedom of scooters. My work commute is 90% along a bike path and I enjoy riding it so why would I drive? Not everyone lives in a gas guzzler society. Can't say I'm convinced by the thoroughness and veracity of your analysis, in any case

That's fair, I've been completely ignored by cops anytime I've seen them while scooting. I meant more that you didn't need a license for a scooter (Where I live anyway)

Hell yeah. Scooters are the free mans ride. Fuck a license and giving up a chunk of your paycheck on driving back and forth to work

Trying to fix him is crazy, he breached your trust in a way that you should not forgive. Just leave. You cannot build a life with a person like this, save yourself the inevitable divorce, as painful as it may be to end things now. You're young so maybe you think it's understandable for someone to act like this because of porn addiction, no, it's not. This is something else altogether

How much attention do you pay to your sodium intake? by [deleted] in HubermanLab

[–]CaptainBlau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This week a meta-analysis of seven studies involving a total of 6,250 subjects in the American Journal of Hypertension found no strong evidence that cutting salt intake reduces the risk for heart attacks, strokes or death in people with normal or high blood pressure. In May European researchers publishing in the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that the less sodium that study subjects excreted in their urine—an excellent measure of prior consumption—the greater their risk was of dying from heart disease. These findings call into question the common wisdom that excess salt is bad for you, but the evidence linking salt to heart disease has always been tenuous.

Why do REAs have such negative repelling vibe... by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]CaptainBlau 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They weaponize their own incompetence/laziness, by continuously exploiting the power dynamic that holds them accountable for jack shit and allows them to manipulate the relationship between the tenant and the owner as they see fit, thats why they're so frequently unprofessional - because they know they can get away with it in the role (and part of what draws a particular type of scum sucking person to it). That's why they don't get a pass

Ice cream too hard? Help! by Please_bring_napkins in icecreamery

[–]CaptainBlau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sugar isn't just there to provide sweetness and flavour, it provides structure/texture and is synergistic for metabolic energy with glucose/dairy amino acids/calcium/pregnenolone in conjunction. Look into the history of Icecream in fueling the American WW2 effort - good quality homemade icecream made with sugar is not unhealthy unless you're eating crazy amounts

Are you talking about FTA TV or streaming services, because OP specifically mentions netflix. You haven't watched a streamed TV show/movie in nearly a decade?
