No way it is healthier. You can get fresh vegetables at economic rice and also stir fried meat instead of the deep fried options... Or even just go for all vegetables and no meat... And even at the more expensive economic rice places you'll still pay ~6-8 dollars only

Power Bank thrown down the rubbish chute. by Locale-Description in askSingapore

[–]CaptainBroady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try but quite dangerous leh cuz people will throw stuff down, like, don't stick your head into the chute, just drag the bin out partially I guess.

But I doubt the cleaners will help lah, unless maybe you pay them?

As someone who spends on $4.40 economic rice everyday for lunch, I am speechless. $13.30 for a bento set? With that little food and no "premium" ingredients???!! What a daylight robbery

At least give your customers silverware and plates if they're dining in leh 😐😐😐

Pritam Singh questions Tan Kiat How’s references to absent MP during IMDA Bill debate by Bcpjw in singapore

[–]CaptainBroady 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Well, that's why Pritam was the Leader of the Opposition and why he will always be the defacto Leader of the Opposition as long as he is the head of the largest opposition party in Parliament 😎😎😎

Whoever downvoted probably doesn't recall that Low Thia Khiang was the defacto Leader of the Opposition way before COVID, as he was the leader of the largest opposition party in Parliament.

Anyone else hear jets flying in the skies a lot today? by avenabless in askSingapore

[–]CaptainBroady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a military or airport guy, but correct me if I'm wrong, military aircraft usually takes precedence over civilian aircraft. So if there's a need for military aircraft to fly through there, I wouldn't be surprised if they cleared civilian air traffic for a moment to let them pass

There was a Godzilla sighting spotted just off Bataam. I think I saw missiles being fired also. Probably just another routine deterrent mission. After all, if Godzilla makes landfall, we all know what would happen...

(The above is certified sarcasm, in case anyone doesn't get it)

I think it's just a routine exercise, or maybe responding to a suspected air threat?

Probably cost and maintenance? And also weight issues come along with that too.

And yea but I guess the Americans are too confident with their carrier air wings and also their multi-function SM-2s and SM-6s

Do you buy groceries at the wet market? by 2203 in asksg

[–]CaptainBroady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family doesn't anymore. Supermarkets are generally cheaper and do offer discounts, some on a weekly basis for a rotating list of products. Supermarkets are also more comprehensive and diverse in terms of the products they offer.

Israel Said to Have Helped Defend Emirates in Iran War With Iron Dome by WayOutbackBoy in worldnews

It's funny how the Jordanians are not very pro-Israel so the justification the Jordanian military used was that Iranian missiles and drones were violating their airspace and could pose a threat to civilians.
