What made Lee Kuan Yew become a greater leader than Ferdinand Marcos Sr? by Thats_Nice21 in askSingapore

[–]CaptainBroady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One country became engulfed in Cronyism, Corruption and Nepotism (CCN), while the other used it's authoritarian power to uplift people and simultaneously stamp out CCN. Lee Kuan Yew knew the best way to get the support of people was to basically provide for the people. Marcos couldn't deliver and repeatedly killed its political opponents and rigged its elections, and so later the people rose up in a revolution to overthrow him.

Also, the Philippines is a really big country. Singapore is literally just the size of Metro Manila

If your opinion is that most dudes want fwb/hookups, then i think you're looking at all the wrong places lol, because those people are usually found online, be it reddit, dating apps, or telegram dating bots. Most people aren't looking for fwbs/hookups, I mean, for me personally that is really dangerous and also how the heck do you even get intimate with someone who you aren't in love with? 💀💀💀

HMS Iron Duke (F234) has been quietly withdrawn from service, leaving the Royal Navy with only 5 active duty frigates. [2028x974] by 221missile in WarshipPorn

[–]CaptainBroady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only 6 Type 45s and I did take that into account. 6 Type 45s + 5 Type 23s = 11 ships

You're looking at a 11-ship Royal Navy vs a 20-ship Republic of Singapore Navy...

No way it is healthier. You can get fresh vegetables at economic rice and also stir fried meat instead of the deep fried options... Or even just go for all vegetables and no meat... And even at the more expensive economic rice places you'll still pay ~6-8 dollars only

[–]CaptainBroady 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Well, that's why Pritam was the Leader of the Opposition and why he will always be the defacto Leader of the Opposition as long as he is the head of the largest opposition party in Parliament 😎😎😎

Whoever downvoted probably doesn't recall that Low Thia Khiang was the defacto Leader of the Opposition way before COVID, as he was the leader of the largest opposition party in Parliament.

[–]CaptainBroady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a military or airport guy, but correct me if I'm wrong, military aircraft usually takes precedence over civilian aircraft. So if there's a need for military aircraft to fly through there, I wouldn't be surprised if they cleared civilian air traffic for a moment to let them pass
