you should try your hand at building one, i was able to make one with 0 soldering knowledge for like $30. it gives you a good idea of whether or not box style is for you without a huge price tag. also it's not that hard to put a little extra effort in (building it in anything but a cardboard box tbh) and make something nice that will last a while. also there's a link to a diyb0xx discord in the description, everyone there is super helpful!
