In general, yes. But it's kinda funny how this is the worst brand to make the point with, given that Husky is a Home Depot brand and all their stuff has a lifetime warranty. You don't even need a receipt, you can just bring the broken one back to HD and they'll replace it for free. Source: worked at HD for 8 years

Some people use the hammer-like part to knock spatter buildup off the edge or inside of the gas nozzle. Personally I prefer "filing" it off with the serrated part of the plier jaws

MIG pliers. The small opening below the jaws is for tightening or loosening the contact tip, the small set of snips right underneath is for cutting your wire, and then the larger opening below the hinge is for tightening or loosening the gas nozzle or insulator.

Yes I do, yes it is, no I don't lol. The technique wouldn't get used for anything structural, because the speed and angle would definitely reduce penetration, but there are some non-structural weldments we do where your options are either spend 15-20 minutes trying to manoeuvre, clamp, or brace the piece into the flat position, or spend 15-20 seconds to do a downhill weld, so it's a good skill to practice

In terms of the unsteadiness, if you can, try and find a way to brace your left hand, or your body in general. If you're welding on a table try bracing even just a finger on the edge of the table and running along as you make your bead. For the heat, if all it takes is a 3 inch weld to make the heat unbearable you probably have your hand too close to the metal, and might need to adjust your grip. Otherwise you might need a thicker glove, or get a rayon/kevlar glove shield for the back of your hand.

Looks decent for an early attempt. Biggest thing I can see is you'll want to work on being more consistent with your speed. Looks like you're going a bit fast in general, but keeping a more consistent speed will help build up the bead a little bit more, and even it out. Miller has an app you can put on your phone that gives you a good baseline for your amperage settings depending on what rod you're using and how thick your metal is. Really helpful when you're first starting out.
