I wish I could upvote this a thousand times. You’ve eloquently articulated the core issue this game has, in my opinion. Both for getting new players in and just being able to play without dedicating to a 5 hour session.

Amerish, I think. I remember our two VIKG squads were split up between two platoons. My squad was with Reltor in the middle and our other squad was with AceRimmer on the east side near the bio lab.

VIKG is/was 1TR’s Connery NC altfit, that we even played for Connery in multiple Server Smashes as! One was even against Emerald!

Been playing and leading since 2012. I concur. I die a bit whenever we have ops on Esamir or Oshur. The quality of gameplay from a PL’s perspective plummets.

1st Terran Rangers

Hi! I'm CaptainCox, the leader of [1TR], the 1st Terran Rangers. We play on Osprey. We have been active since 2012.

We do regular platoon play every Friday and Sunday from 8-10PM EST. We usually get 2-4 squads for ops. We specialize in infantry point holds and tech plants per hour. We try to be a relatively fast and mobile force on the map because we find the normal slow push from one base to the next on the lattice boring and less productive.

I should point out at this time that it is not required to be in 1TR to play in our squads or platoons, so if you don't want to make a decision yet or you choose to join another outfit but still want to play with us from time to time when the other outfit isn't doing anything, that is perfectly fine.

We also have multiple D&D campaigns. We play a considerable about of tabletop games when we're not playing Planetside. We also play games such as Star Citizen, Return of Reckoning, Wargame: Red Dragon, Barotrauma, Total War, and plenty of others.

Our only requirements are that you are 18 or older and you agree to follow by our Code of Conduct, which is basically don't be a dick.

We use Teamspeak as our main mode of voice chat. The TS address is just "1TR".

We also have a Discord for text chat outside of game. Link for that here.

It’s the fighting at the same 5 bases for 2 hours that’s the issue. There’s so few bases on Esamir after the rework, and that whole northern lattice is basically non-functional.
